Any opposition manager must think that all his Christmas’s have come on one day when looking at ways to defeat our current squad.
We have become a team of very average interchangeable wingers and midfielders with no real forward line goal threat whatsoever, apart from Armstrong on a good day.
Archer is and always has been, a low scoring journeyman professional footballer.
Stewart is and was even before we signed him, an injury waiting to happen
Downes is masquerading as something, but to me it doesn’t appear to be a professional footballer.
What can Still do about it ? Possibly play Aribo upfront for Armstrong to play off ? After all, if the rumours are correct we may as well try and get some return on the alleged £70,000 a week he gets paid. [Post edited 13 Oct 13:49]

Frankly it doesn't matter. None of the options we're likely to see is a real centre forward. For a manager who supposedly emphasises crosses it's a joke.
We're just treading water now until January. Hopefully by then Still and SR have finally learned that we need a centre forward and they go out and buy one. That might make the second half of the season vaguely interesting but until then we're a lost cause. I'll probably attend the home games but if anyone asked me if they should buy tickets, I'd say no, don't bother until we see some personnel changes. | | | |
