Newport County fans really not happy.

I sincerely hope they can get out of this rut. But is that possible with HJ as head honcho??

My methods are not favoured by some but by god i speak the truth.

Lightening was never going to strike twice.

The stars aligned for us in the period 2004-2007 and the rest is history. Good history! (up until 2016)

We had the momentum with the new stadium as you said the stars aligned. Big moments in the Premier League promotion also went for us. Against Forest holding on after Taylor got sent off and Pratley scoring from the halfway line. Then in the final, the block to keep us ahead when Reading were coming back. All important parts of our history. HJ just doesn't have the finances to build from the bottom.

I would add nor the immense support from old friends and people around him on the board all of whom were Swans supporters.

Have to say mate, so would Swansea City be without those who stepped up and saved the club 👍

The poor quality of some of the people on this h thread is here for all to see. They would have you believe that Huw Jenkins and Martin Morgan had stars aligning for more than 12 years.

It is not normal human nature to denigrate those that did no much xfor the club.

The fable " The pied Piper of Hamlin" covers this nicely.

I wish him and Newport well.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

If I was an out of contract footballer I would ring Up Huw and ask to train with the team with a view when fit for Short term 6 month contract. Tom Lawrence a Ranger reject went overseas somewhere.

I thought Rabbi Matondo was out of contact but has another season big money.

All about opinions res, he was good until he started getting carried away and believing his own hype, then crapped on the club. Unlucky Hubert, no sympathy here butt.

Huw's peak moment was turning his mobile phone off to Leeds in January 2019 around Daniel James.

His best act.
His final act.

That’s of course debatable isn’t it. Of course they helped to “ save the club “ and then helped it prosper.
It’s unlikely though to say the least that it wouldn’t have survived. It’s irrelevant now.

But he turned into Billy Big Bollox and got rather carried away. He made some good decisions but there’s a lot of good fortune involved in football. And a lot of bad luck. Then there’s a way to treat the people who have given you so much support over many years. Then there’s the Jenkins way.

It’s only my opinion but he’s completely undone the good work he did for 10 years or so ….

You don't go from on the brink of bankruptcy and within one game of non league football to becoming a established premier league side because the "stars aligned". That suggests that it was luck which it very much wasn't. Huw and the other investors made the right calls at the right time, and we sit here today bemoaning the fact we're a mid-table Championship side which would have been an absolute pipe dream for most swans fans when he took the reigns. We are where we are today thanks to His and his board/investors and we shouldn't forget that.

the stars did align for one time only - a cash machine in Swansea City centre dispensed £25,000 in one go (most limits are £750) to pay off Antony Petty. It was a miracle that evening.

He picked a few good managers and they picked good players.
When he was left to do player recruitment he was a disaster.
