Not for me. The game seems to have passed him by tactically in recent years if his last spell in the Prem is any indication which is why he went scuttling back to Scotland in the first place.

Refreshing to see a statement like that put out rather than the usual begrudging thanks & best wishes. It certainly portrays the polar opposite of how he conducted himself in press conferences this season. It also lets supporters know where the club stand on it. The supporters will decide for themselves.
Brendan achieved decent results up there & wont have difficulty with an abundance of offers likely to come his way. He may be waiting a long time for a ‘big club’ offer after this. He makes it sound like he has not been backed, they say he has been involved every step of the way. There is something definitely broken & he has done the honourable thing to walk, not many do that …

I’m glad he has come out and said it.
We saw how Brendan behaves when Idah was messed about and called back to Celtic when he was in Swansea to sign. He wasn’t even selected. I’m more than happy for clubs to come out and do this, it gives a perspective that otherwise wouldn’t be known. Plus managers and players have too much mouth especially in the top leagues, they rarely go unchecked.
We have two very good contacts in Scotland as people will know from reading our reports and forum. Both state that Dermot Desmond is a decent person and the involvement of their families in threats towards them and a lot more came from the dissent of Brendan Rodgers. Not in its entirety but it didn’t help.
Nobody is as big as Celtic.
