None of us know where this is going, and it is certainly destroying economies and it’s detrimental effects potentially impacting v.hard on generations to come.
Conceptually many older people would I am sure be willing to take their chances if they were certain it was the solution going forward for future generations. (Personally though I agree with that writing on the wall in Hong Kong, that, that normality we want to get back to was the problem in the first place)
However a self imposed egalitarian act in the face of a certain effective solution, is very different to being sacrificed at the whim of a political punt. And the reality of the sacrifice far from pretty. | | | |
