BEES v ARSENAL 15:42 - Aug 13 with 9415 views | gazza1 | Anyone got any thoughts on tonight's Premiership game........ Think it could make good night of football.......winners?? Should be Arsenal but there will be a lot of pressure on them against the Bees. Very interesting indeed and looking forward to the match. Good luck to the both.

BEES v ARSENAL on 00:25 - Aug 14 with 2352 views | queensparker | Went down with my old Brentford mates tonight who I’ve spent plenty of time with at Griffin Park over the years since the Terry Horlock and Jamie Bates era when Rangers were away - fair play to them, was a pleasure to be there and see their first proper game in the top league in their brand new (decent) stadium. Proper good atmosphere, nothing like I ever heard at Griffin Park. Legoland Kew has got a bit of character IMO. Because it’s wedged in below the M4 it’s got it’s own weird look and all the stands are right up close against the pitch like ours. It was rammed below the stands but you could still get a beer in 5 minutes. The usual COME ON BENFA old boys were all there in their Friday best and I couldn’t help feeling happy for them all, what a big night after all the sh-t and dross and lockdown and not saying goodbye to the old ground to see them breeze past Arsenal while everyone there was checking out their new seats for the first time. There are going to be plenty more Brentford fair weathers knocking about for a bit. I’d be worried if I was an Arsenal fan, apart from Smith Rowe they were slow, toothless, sh-t. Toney is still a diving toe rag.

BEES v ARSENAL on 23:59 - Aug 13 by nix | This. I don't really get why this would be a problem for us. It shows that it's possible to narrow the gap between us and some of the Uber rich clubs. I hope they continue to do well because it makes some of the stupid fees paid out look silly: Timo Werner £47.5 million, 35 games and 6 goals for the scum. Ivan Toney cost about a fifth of that, played one game in the Prem and already scored a goal. I hope they have a great season. |
Toney didn't score tonight. Also a bit confused how he got man of the match? Then again I only had one eye on the match.

BEES v ARSENAL on 16:59 - Aug 13 by simmo | Struggling very hard to give a shÃt either way tbh, about this game, who will win the league, new signings or the PL in general. I'd like Palace to do well, for Eze. I have an interest in some of the England lads and younger players doing well. Other than that... Will have the game on in the background though, hopefully the return of crowds brings back my enjoyment as a neutral, at least until the NFL starts anyway... |
It wouldn’t surprise me if your access to the NFL grows, both on tv and games played in UK / Europe. The organization is tight lipped, main stream media doesn’t pay much attention, but there is a serious financial problem brewing in the world of US football. Ratings down 9% last season (when a housebound Covid viewership should have watched paint dry), 15% the year before, season tickets available everywhere, club shops sales in free fall. There’s wages to be paid, the gold cufflink crowd would sell their mother for a buck. Suppose they could go the Chinese route like the NBA where superstars suddenly have no problems with concentration camps or slavery as long as the millions continue to roll in.

Sorry I looked up his stats and it said he'd scored so I thought he must have got the second goal. Must have been an error or I misread it. But the rest of the point still stands, he's a much cheaper player and looks like he'll do better than some of the ridiculously expensive lame ducks.

BEES v ARSENAL on 07:25 - Aug 14 with 1946 views | NorthantsHoop | I find Brentford and their manager so annoying, but you have got to admire what they have and are doing as a football club. Arsenal were poor, but Brentford's high intensity game works well, that new stadium is going to be a tough place to get a result this season. Remains to be seen whether the intensity can be consistently maintained, but think they will do OK this season.

BEES v ARSENAL on 08:57 - Aug 14 with 1793 views | gazza1 | Wow, Arsenal so average indeed, some wrong things going on with the playing side!!! Bees still had to beat them and beat them they did, fair play to them.
