Just in case my granddaughter prevents me from getting on here tomorrow, and someone unwittingly breaks the 'spell', I'm going (very) early!

1-0 to us - Willock.

I'd like another look at the Kakay one, what I saw was that he played the ball and was going through the gap between 2 B'mouth players, Billing closed that gap and slightly raised his knee.
Kakay having played the ball had the right to go through that gap, Billing shouldn't block him by raising his knee as the ball was long gone. Definite yellow if I have remembered the situation correctly even if its deemed he moved towards Billing, the knee movement was crucial in this

That's exactly how I saw it Karl.

I think Benny was referring to the later incident where kakay turned rather aggressively shielded the ball and blocked one of their players when he was close to our box

The incident where he knocked it past Billings down the line and got taken out as he tried to run onto it was textbook yellow.

Having said that he didnt make Dickie fall asleep for there first

I watched this on Sky, which I don't normally approve of, but hey - the half-time analysis cleverly showed the Bournemouth press from midfield on our other defenders shutting down Dickie's passing options, which made him hesitate, and . . .

Sorry but he turned like the Titanic.

It's being so happy that keeps me going.

I think there were a couple of these. I remember the one that Kakay was short on. I think there was another that looked like a trip on him that was called by the commentry team as a barge, even before the replay was shown?

Maybe I'm wrong about that one but Kakay v Zemora and Anthony was only going to have one winner. In fact most criticism should go to Dickie and perhaps Dieng for our first half mistake. I'd rather focus on the positives of which there are so many.

Yes, that's right. It was 2 separate incidents. One where Kakay committed the foul and another involving Billing.

I just watched Warburton's interview on the official. He qualified his comments on Sky by saying that Bournemouth committed a lot of fouls in good areas and managed the game well. Our players are young and need to learn. Indeed.

Double pissed, I am. We got hectic around mid-morning, firing on all cylinders for the rest of the day, no lunch break, forgot about the game...then I got the text result from the club...and I misread it. Spent the next 30mins going around around telling people we'd won ....oh was I pissed!

Yes that was a foul by Kakay, he was shielding the ball, unfortunately the ball was a bit too far away for the block he used!
The foul I described by Billing was nothing like that. I'll maybe not stay up waiting for Benny to accept it was a mistake he made

You misquoted me.
There was a definite foul on Kakay in the 1st half, Match82 picked out that you're probably focusing on the block he made in the 2nd half.
Go to specsavers and get over yourself.

Edit
I was following the thread, it was you that tried to correct me

Back in the very luxurious Bournemouth Travelodge. Actually very positive.
They're a good team, they're going to go close, some decent players who have cost a lot of money. They had chances, the one off the post for 3-0 is a huge let off but even that came off our mistake and we've given them two goals. Their keeper has made some very good saves at 2-1 otherwise it's another out of the fire job.
We obviously can't keep giving teams starts, conceding at this rate, soft goals, and all of that.
There's debate to be had about team selection and who should be starting but fundamentally we haven't lost anywhere for a long time and there's very little to worry about other than Dickie got caught on the ball tonight so we lost and on another day he scored from 30 yards so we didn't.

Fundamentally - we will not go far wrong with this level of performance and effort. I wonder whether we might be having a two legged return visit to this fixture in May.

Right back remains a problem position; no matter how much we might want Kakay to push on, he's a weak link. If we still had Furlong, we'd piss this league.

Could easily have got a point though. Gray really looks up for it.

"I wonder whether we might be having a two legged return visit to this fixture in May"...

...I was thinking exactly the same thing last night. They are a good side and know how to manipulate a soft ref but we are still a work in progress and I expect us to improve/learn as the season progresses. I would love to meet them again in May :)

That sounds better than the type of Travelodge where the guest collects from reception a 'breakfast' in a cardboard box - muffin, cereal, orange juice. After a thrilling match, albeit with a disappointing result, a proper breakfast is called for!

Have to agree about Kakay tonight. He was very poor and certainly had a hand in their 2nd goal with awful positioning

I'm not to worried about last night's result though I thought we deserved a point against a decent Bournemouth side. I also think we will be tighter when Field is back in the team as he is an upgrade on Ball

Would like to see Albert start on Saturday and if we play like this again we will win

It's unbearable from all of them.

The worst for me was the Willock incident.

Their player barges Willock off the ball. Foul.

Their player kicks the ball out of Willocks hands. Willock reacts a little bit.

Lee Hendry "I've seen reds for less than that"

Fck off Hendry you complete T0sser.

Winds me up so much.

In the split second that Willock was inflicting the kick on the back of his opponent's leg, he seemed to realise that it was a stupid thing to do and held back. The result was that the kick was little more than a tap. That probably saved him. Whether it should have, or not, is another matter.
Barbet, late on, shoving his face into that of an opponent was also unwise. The slightest backward movement of the opponent's head would have made it look like a Glasgow handshake and a red card would have followed.

Bournemouth are good. I said after 30 mins i said that we'll be lucky to get out of this without a hammering and in the end a draw would get no complaints from either side. Still think we look a class act but god we need to tighten up at the back. Makes Saturday super-important in defining our character and momentum.

I just watched the highlights and thought for the second goal we were unlucky. Looked like Jordy was positioned correctly in front of Solanke and followed the run. Dickie slipped, I mean come on, how well has he been playing? That can happen to anyone. Kakay a bit ponderous on the ball and caught out for the shot that hit the post. Looked like we gave them a good game and managed a goal from open play which I think was the very least we deserved.

Good game but it's so important we play at tempo, was the same last year.
If we're to play a passing incisive game then it needs to be at pace, when we do it and mix it up with occasional direct ball then we're a great attacking force.
The 2nd goal was scored during a period where we'd dropped off the pace, which is going to happen, but we never got our defensive shape sorted.
Great spirit in that team though, very unlucky not to get the draw but need to bounce back, 2 points from 9 isn't disaster but to keep the enthusiasm up we don't want a long winless run either

Its 5 from 9 and our 'not winning run' is 2 and our 'losing run' is erm....1

Beckham saw red for less. Daft moment that I do understand, but he was lucky. Keiefy Keef did us a favour there.

The law, or at least the emphasis within it, has changed since then.
