I’m trying to get excited about this World Cup, but to no avail :-((.
I’ve just watched Sky Sports World Cup preview with Gary Neville, Jamie Redknapp, Jamie Carragher & Karen Carney. Utterly depressing viewing. Same old, same old. Picking players for the starting XI not playing for their clubs, or totally off form.
I’m hoping this thread can get the juices flowing.
Do any of you think England have a chance?

All started with Rivaldo in 2002 and since then they've adopted this ridiculous cheating that the referees inexplicably keep buying. They're a good team, no need for it but they've gone from the team everyone wanted to watch to one that everyone loves to hate.

Nice Korea ( not naughty Korea ) are making a fair few chances. Encouraging.
Pick that out!
Korean fans celebrating like it was the winner. This World Cup is rotten for so many reasons but the actual football and the fans in the grounds have been top class.

Japanese support is great. I wish I knew the words to their song.
There are about three or four chants that are used in every Japanese sporting event from start to finish. The "we're fkng sht" tune was chanted at a Kashiwa Reysol game I went to - Yun-suk Young his usual blend of sparky and dozy - from about 30 minutes before kick-off to at least the point I left the ground afterwards - quite happy to throw my own beer glass away at the end, but I'm not cleaning up after anyone else. Quite funny to hear Rod Stewart's Sailing used over and over, don't think the words were "No-one likes us".
