Tigers at Layer Road 21:11 - Sep 23 with 139950 views | SparkfilmsTV | In a strange twist of events l found myself in conversation with a young lady who had attended Layer Road for a match against Hull City in our first season in The Championship. The 5-1 encounter. We were attending a promo evening for a band called The Datsuns in North London in 2008. During the evening she explained that she had been present at a party that made the national news due to the tragic death of someone by the name of Mark Blanco. The incident occurred in December 2006. This incident will be shown on Channel 4 on Monday night at 22.00 in an hour long documentary and several people known to me have made contributions. It may be of interest to some. I am very much hoping that the police will reinvestigate the death of Mark Blanco as a result of what will be included in the content. I know that what l was told by this young lady 15 years ago has been instrumental in the making of this documentary.

I have to acknowledge though that there are other individuals who are concerned by some of the subject matter included... Currently working on Issue Two. The idea was is for a trilogy and additional supplements that will eventually be boxed along with the set of three. Initial reaction in America was really positive but some negative feedback over the weekend.

Just a little explanation to what 'Predator' actually is that might assist folk when l add Part Three. It is a short film. Part One has the text in mute on screen - as a subtitle might appear. Part Two is spoken by the female Predator ( hence the mute sound of a voice in Part One ). Part Three is an interview style exchange with the neighbour - that will follow at some stage.
Tigers at Layer Road on 10:45 - Jun 11 with 2321 views | SparkfilmsTV | 'PREDATOR' - a continuation, as seen from an adjoining property. I pulled back the curtains There was an ambulance and a police car next door Moments later l was aware of more vehicles arriving I peeped out of the window They were putting up a police tape I hurriedly got dressed There was a knock at the door Two police officers asked if they could come in They sat down and said 'Don't be alarmed, but there has been an incident next door and someone will arrive shortly to take a statement' I made a statement which would have been of little or no use 'Had l seen or heard anything?' Didn't really know the two girls Hadn't noticed anything unusual in the past day or so, or in the few months that they had been living there A bit later, on leaving my house, l was approached by reporter's...who encircled me, and one of them said - 'Did you know the murdered woman?' That was the first l heard of any murder, but looking around me l wasn't that surprised [Post edited 11 Jun 13:42]

In the hours and days that follow You infiltrate my mind You are becoming A control freak And you don't even know it A series of impromptu rendezvouses Would follow Felixstowe The black dress incident Collecting you from hospital Before you were discharged Of course I was much older But wiser? Tigers at Layer Road on 21:19 - Jun 17 with 1793 views | SparkfilmsTV | Some television viewing data that may be of interest. Between 12.30 and 13.00 on weekdays approx 2 million viewers will be watching Bargain Hunt on BBC 1. During the same time slot around half a million will be tuned in to Loose Women on ITV. I don't watch either. ITV are currently planning further cut backs. It's not surprising that main stream media is in decline....what l find interesting is how the production companies are under growing pressure to attract audience with content. On the news front GB News is growing its audience, and gaining viewers from BBC and Sky News. On a local front the Colchester Gazette is not doing itself any favours with a series of spelling errors in headlines and in the opening paragraphs. The comments section's pick up on this virtually every day.

Colchester United takeover - it is being rumoured the consortium want to announce takeover on 04 July 2025 to coincide with the US Independence Day holiday. I guess only time will tell if this is correct
Tigers at Layer Road on 10:02 - Jun 19 with 1694 views | SparkfilmsTV | 'THIS OBSESSION' - Cont. During these times You were prone To book last - minute flights To far away places With twinkling lights But l never saw them Only picture postcards Your manic sense of adventure Knowing no bounds Needing to be somewhere else Or were you.running from yourself? You were CHALLENGING You were DIFFICULT You were IMPOSSIBLE But l couldn't let go You were RADIANT From sunrise Light shone BRIGHTER Caught up in your slipstream A virtual floating Taking in the sunset Those long August nights In your bedroom All consuming I was ENGULFED Our UK Tour We took in the sights The South Bank A boarding house in Yarmouth The Bull Ring Leamington Spa The Tyne The mountains and the lakes You ordered Port to our room Stained the carpet That cheap hotel on the A12 When we were almost home But it didn't matter We were starring in a film Our film And l didn't want it to end
Tigers at Layer Road on 18:19 - Jun 19 with 1645 views | SparkfilmsTV | 'THIS OBSESSION' still has a little way to run, and ( I ) will be entering a challenging landscape. Try and stick with it if you are able. The reference to Port being spilt on a beige carpet in the hotel room was preceded by a walk we took shortly before. We were staying at a remote hotel tucked away in The Lake District. We go outside and it is pitch black. No streetlights and no moonlight ( not even with this certain young lady )....it becomes obvious that we have entered an area inhabited by cattle and one bumps into us ( or perhaps we bumped into him ). We were startled and the creature let out an unfriendly grunt. We were stepping in cow dung by the scent in the air and attempted to find the lights to the hotel in the distance. We got back to the hotel and should have checked our footwear before doing so. ( TBC ).
Tigers at Layer Road on 18:42 - Jun 19 with 1640 views | SparkfilmsTV | On arriving back in the reception area l noticed that we had made a mess on the carpet and all l could do was ask for cleaning products and put in a shift on my hands and knees. My partner in crime seemed more interested in ordering drinks for the room and had acquired several bottles - one of which was Port. I think l once drank Port on Christmas Day in 1970 at my family's home in Romford. Never since, and l was not going to sample any of this. When l was satisfied that l had made a decent job of cleaning the cow dung from the reception carpet l made my way to the room. When entering the room l noticed that virtually the entire bottle of Port had been knocked onto the floor and stained the beige carpet. I went back to reception and asked if l could return to the cleaner's cupboard as l would need some powerful stain remover as my wife ( not really ) had spilt the contents of one of the bottles. This was even more challenging than my previous cleaning task but l was determined to remove the red stains. Thinking about it now, some 21 years later, our UK Tour was packed with similar incidents...it's just that certain people can be prone to accidents ( pretty much on a daily basis ). As it happens l quite like cleaning and still keep my home in reasonable order ( l think ). 🙂🦮🙂🦮

The background music today was from a fairly obscure American band - circa 1968, l was playing the original vinyl recording of the self titled album by The 31st of February from Florida. It's a gem! And before that l was going through a selection of albums including The Association, The American Breed and an old favourite -.Barry Ryan ( R.I.P. ). 🦮🙂

Carrying on with this.... Her calls from payphones at dawn They sustained me somehow I wrote about her And if nothing else It offered me Some kind of therapy She introduced me To an underworld She was living wild Living on the edge some might say But no She was living way over the edge And eventually She would pay the price With her life Dying alone on Christmas Eve Of an overdose In a guest house I spoke to her landlady She put up a barrier Which in the circumstances Was understandable But gradually she softened 'I hadn't seen her for a couple of days and went round the back to look through the window. She looked like she was sleeping, slumped over a small table by the side of the bed, her arms outstretched, l called an ambulance' ( TBC ).
