In a strange twist of events l found myself in conversation with a young lady who had attended Layer Road for a match against Hull City in our first season in The Championship. The 5-1 encounter.

We were attending a promo evening for a band called The Datsuns in North London in 2008.

During the evening she explained that she had been present at a party that made the national news due to the tragic death of someone by the name of Mark Blanco.

The incident occurred in December 2006.

This incident will be shown on Channel 4 on Monday night at 22.00 in an hour long documentary and several people known to me have made contributions.

It may be of interest to some.

I am very much hoping that the police will reinvestigate the death of Mark Blanco as a result of what will be included in the content.

I know that what l was told by this young lady 15 years ago has been instrumental in the making of this documentary.

I have been asked about some of the images in the latest edition of 'Monster'.

The car crash image with female hanging from passenger door window was shot in my house with car parts and a 'live' model.

The image that appears to be shot in Ukraine was created using a projector and the same model who appears in the remains of a blue Ford Mondeo.

The lighting was created by using multiple strobes and theatre lights.

It was experimental and l had no idea if it would work but the effect we get is pure luck.

No retouching. No special software used.

We also projected moving footage onto the buckled car door.

Thanks to all the new folk for visiting 'Tigers'.

Not wishing to be alarmist but there has been a further serious incident in Colchester overnight.

Museum Street taped off.

Unrelated to the body found 48 hours previously in the vicinity.

The death on Thursday appears to be suicide.

We are living through very dark times.

2023

Tesco Store, Hythe Colchester

I was looking at the sandwiches, trying to decide which it would be.

This arm comes out of nowhere.

Grabs a tuna and cucumber on white.

Rips the package

Scoffs the thing in a matter of seconds.

Throws the packaging back in the cooler unit.

Walks off.

I didn't bother with a sandwich.

But l needed some milk.

Same person.

Drinking a pint of milk down. Puts the empty carton back with the full ones.

Walks out the store.

After about 15 minutes I'm going back towards my car

See the same individual sitting on a bench with what looked like some bubble bath

She opens the top and appears to take a swig ...got back in my car and sat there for a while

l was looking to see if she was emitting any bubbles.

Was unable to tell

Drove back to Riverside

Viewing habits.

Some new data released places YouTube second to the BBC and now in front of ITV.

Social media platforms can take up an average of around two and a quarter hours per day for individuals.

Those who partake in Forums ( such as this ) average approx 45 minutes per day.

As for Social Media and Forums l should imagine many users may have the television on in the background but that will diminish their attention to any to commercial advertising.

It is not uncommon to see a family and visitors sitting in front of a television with the national news on the screen and all of them are on their phones, laptops or any other variation of media intake.

Nothing new here and it will only continue.

Several of my associates who work in mainstream media have been made redundant in the past few weeks.

This appears to be a violent attack on a young man who is now in a coma.

It sounds like a robbery as his wallet is missing.

Over in Clacton the Lidl Supermarket attempted murder may be a feud between crack heads.

I had a visit from an individual who is starting up a new Advertising Agency in London over the weekend.

They are taking a floor in Soho which is around 3,000 square feet and will begin with a staff of about 18.

We discussed the use of AI to produce sound for commercials and multiple variations of language.

They have two clients initially - one of which has an advertising spend of several million - which sounds a lot but running an office and staff in the West End of London comes at considerable expense.

It's refreshing to hear of a start up in difficult trading times.

The two partners in the new agency are 36 and 34. I am impressed by their hunger to succeed.

They have a tech background which is essential for the platforms where the advertising will appear.

Good to be in contact with The Adverts ( Gary Gilmore's Eyes ).

Feedback from the music industry is really appreciated.

Once again, l am indebted to folk who have sought out some of the content on 'Tigers' and not only waded through large chunks but revisited.

Extract from GB News, August 8th, 2025.

This question was put to an.indivdual.

'What is 45 plus 55?'

'95 - no, 94'.

Here is another snippet.

'I am a qualified maths teacher'

'Can we ask you then what is 45 plus 55?

'That's too hard'

'What about 5 plus 5?'

'Don't know....is it 6?'

Presenter drops to the ground in laughing fit.

I received a call this morning relating to Charles Lynton ( aka Tony Blair ).

The caller wanted to know if we might be able to work together on information that begins around 1973 when Blair was 20 years of age.

Some of the information that we discussed is in the public domain but there are potential bombshells that l had no knowledge of.

The bombshells relate to incidents leading up to The Iraq War.

Suffice to say, this might be too hot to handle.

My contact has supplied information over the past ten years and from the research that followed it all underpinned what was being discussed.

I can also inform that the BBC may be involved in another cover up on the scale of Jimmy Savile.

We won't be working on this as such as others are hot on the case ( which is currently under a form of protection embargo )..

It's back to base camp. I empty out some BBQ beef Hula Hoops onto a dish. Go to the kitchen cupboard and there's a bag of Sainsbury"s Chopped Dates. I mix them in with the Hula's.

And l think - who else is eating such a concoction at 10.15am in England? Or anywhere?.

I revisit last night's dream.

It's part of a series of dreams where l am back at my old advertising agency in London.

As usual the reception area has none of our receptionists in place taking calls.

There appears to be some kind of trade show or exhibition being assembled in the large atrium space.

I walk through the door that used to lead to our electronic studio. Same thing. Partitions being built and workmen scurrying around.

I don't recognise anyone.

No one recognises me.

I take the back stairwell and ascend several floors - anxious to see my compatriots in the accounts management department and there they are - but l don't see anyone l know.

Even though this is a dream l seem to be aware that 20 years have passed since we used to frequent this area and discuss all our favourite pets - Alliance & Leicester Building Society, British Telecom, Barclaycard and Volkswagen.

It's lunchtime.

I'm uncomfortable about commuting from Colchester to Old Marylebone Road in bare feet.

Why do l have no shoes and socks on?

I am aware l need to get back to Colchester as l don't like leaving the dogs with my dead mother.

What if they eat her body?

What happened to my wife?

Are we still together?

I can't recall seeing her this morning when l left.

I'm at Liverpool Street for the 15.30 Inter City to Norwich. First stop Colchester.

I don't recall the journey.

Sometimes l wake up at 3am.

I take a piss in the bathroom and the dream is still playing over in my mind.

I look out of the bedroom window.

Just checking to see if any houses are on fire.

Around August 2005 l was watching shooting stars from a garden in Shrub End, Colchester.

Can't recall seeing any since then.

Last night we went for a walk around 9pm.

My dog likes music and l wondered what he would make of The Smashing Pumpkins who were playing a few hundred yards from home.

We found an unoccupied bench which was in a line with the sound waves.

We looked above. No shooting stars but a very impressive UFO darting through the sky.

Green flashing lights. Then red and green. Next just red.

It hovered around 500 feet above King's Head Meadow then flew at considerable speed towards Old Heath Rec.

Repeated this sequence around half a dozen times.

We watched these and other flights patterns for around 50 minutes.

Impressive moves from what was most likely the drone filming the Pumpkins UK Tour.

The band were fab! We had listened to their soundcheck some 10 hours earlier.

We may return this evening to catch some of the sound waves from the second concert featuring Southend's Busted.

I would leave the front door ajar as she got closer.

It was that mottled glass that could create cinematic effects. A full body halo if the streetlights and moon were correctly lined.

It was around a four hour drive from Bournemouth and she would call around every half hour with a location and ETA.

I had Six by Seven on the sound system.

I would like to have sat down with Burroughs and Kesey and explained the bit about 'That was some kind of entrance'. Didn't realise at the time that her movements would be recorded in lines that people would ever ask about - not that many do, just one or two here and there.

I could have met her at the door. Taken her bag. Kissed her on the cheek and said 'Welcome to Colchester'.

We were never wired that way.

Instead l sat at the back of the room in an electric chair with my finger hovering over kill mode.

She pushed the door open with her right foot.

Threw her bag down on the ceramic tiles, and l noticed she had a tiger cub on a dog lead.

She was always full of surprises.

She went back to her car, left me on the sofa with the tiger, it started to look a whole lot bigger and began to sneeze.

I put that down to the incense sticks.

When she came back into the room she was naked.

She was rehersing a part in a film.

Sat on a park bench on Monday evening and listened to Tom Jones.

He was just incredible.

His version of Dylan's 'One more cup of coffee' was a wonder to all.

Dylan would have loved it!

I was very impressed by some of the arrangements to the songs and the musicianship.

Tom Jones is EIGHTY FIVE and he can still captivate an audience.

It was back to the Castle Park tonight for Texas.

Didn't realise how entertaining Sharleen Spiteri is between songs -.in fact, l had never seen them live.

She actually made her way to Colchester by train from Camden -.Moorgate -.Liverpool.Street -.Colchester North.

I met up with an American musician this morning who attended the Tom Jones concert and he mentioned the sublime arrangements in many of the songs.

It's The Lightening Seeds / James etc tomorrow and l expect the Sparkfilms car park to be overflowing again.

A little piece of music trivia from Castle Park.

We also watched the set by Natalie Imbruglia who supported Texas last night.

The official video to 'Torn' ( which is actually a cover of a cover ) that was shot in the US in 1997 features actor Jeremy Sheffield who went to school in Colchester.

It's a classic video that was featured heavily on MTV back at the time.

Since then it was clocked up 340 million YouTube views.

Just caught the soundcheck for the James headlining set tonight at Castle Park. Tim Booth's vocals sound amazing - some impressive improvising / experimentation likely on a few of their songs.

The Sparkfilms car park looks like being full again tonight.

I wonder if any contributors to The U'sual were in Castle Park last night for a super show by Tim Booth and James!

It was one of my Grandsons' first experience of any live music ( at 9 years of age ) and he is up and running now for more.

He has beaten me by about 7 years as l only got started at 16 - but within months was in Hyde Park for The Rolling Stones in July '69.

I don't travel far these days to see anything as l won't leave any dog l am in care of for more than a couple of hours so the events at Castle Park this week have given me and members of my family a chance to see and hear some live music a few minutes walk away.

James made a great impression on folk last night - as people left the arena they appeared to be elated and visibly lifted by the experience.

That's a nice thing to see in the world we live in.

Music has the power to do that - perhaps more than any other art form.
