EFL Fixtures out on 26 June.....So 13:04 - Jun 18 with 12555 viewsBexleyHoop

Who would you like our first three games to be?

I would like:

A promoted team at home - Oxford Utd
A relegated team away - Sheff Utd
A mid table team from last year away - Watford

A home game first would be nice. Who has a black away kit for when it’s 30C?

I think we will be at home on August 11th as 2 out of our nearest clubs are at home on August 18th,and it looks like we’ll be paired with Fulham’s home games for the first month at least.
It looks like we’ll be at home on 11/08,24/08,14/09 and 21/09 because Brentford and the scum are at home on the other weekends and they won’t allow 3 of us to play at home on the same weekends I reckon.
Further home weekends are 19/10,02/11,23/11,14/12,26/12,04/01/25,25/01,15/02,22/02,15/03,12/04 and 26/04,which means we’ll be away on the last day of the season again.
Possibly another weekend home game on either 22/03 or 29/03, but it looks like 6 midweek/bank holiday games to fit in somewhere.

I get your thinking but with the new Sky EFL deal the schedule could be very different.

I'm sure I read every opening game in the championship will be Saturday 3pm kick offs, all available to watch live on the telly box?

Exactly. None will be at 3pm Saturday on the opening weekend. All will be live but the 3pm Saturday blackout hasn’t been dropped.

Given the temperature might well be about 47 degrees on the opening Saturday, I'd be happy with a 7am kickoff.

Remember that Blackpool opening game of the 2004 season. I think it reached over 100f inside the stadium. My clothes were soaked with sweat 🥵

Was sat in the paddock , was similar to setting fire to your knackers while trying to watch a football match , obv the bar run out of anything close to liquid well before kick off asking us to pay a quid for plastic cup of tap water , as that was all they could offer us , , worst thing was it was well publicised that the weather was due to be baking that day yet once again the club didn’t sort out extra drinks etc

I would prefer to avoid Leeds home or away until later in the Autumn to be honest DWQPR because not only did we kick their ass but continued the slide they never recovered from.
I know it will be a very different Leeds team but they will be out for blood this time

Was a great day - stayed for a couple of beers afterwards in Blue and White club, then whilst walking back to White City Tube, few people coming other way said it was shut, so we turned around and bumped straight into Stevie Palmer who offered us a lift in his car! Top Chap.

Start of a brilliant season - unbeaten at Loftus Road.

I’ve got another reason to remember that game. I’d rashly promised Mrs Sheen I’d pick up a shower caddy she’d ordered from M&S Plumbing Supplies of Horn Lane in Acton (who had a board behind the Loft End goal that season and many others) before the game. I’d humped it on to two buses in Saharan heat. wrestled it into the ground and up the stairs and wedged it somehow between my feet and away from the bloke behind me in time to see us tear Blackpool apart, Furlong was unplayable. Fortunately general dehydration meant I didn’t have to lift it over my head too often to let people past to the gents.
The only thing that took the gloss off an awesome performance was the worry that I’d have to bring my lucky shower caddy to every game that season.
