Jimmy Dunne 18:57 - Dec 7 with 27388 views | numptydumpty | What a man !! Awful family circumstances - his dad passing away this week.. Could not have been that old ie Jimmy is mid 20s I assume. Perfectly reasonable not to play today but a man of the match performance. Not only scored - it had to be - but shortly after made a wonder challenge with a Norwich forward through on goal. Was also up against their star man and he was well controlled. Definitely deserves to be a fans favourite but that performance today, especially given his circumstances was iconic. A true Ranger. Well done Jimmy. You did your old man proud today.. Incredible.... [Post edited 7 Dec 2024 19:00]

And you said MC not liked at all at the club and Kelman doesn't want to be here next season. Am guessing you have got this from Johnny no Mates posting this on social media too....

Jimmy Dunne on 23:45 - May 19 by Hunterhoop | Ah, okay. Well, you can safely assume that’s nonsense then. Or a line being peddled by the club. Cifuentes and Dunne were quite close from what I understand. Certainly looked that way at FT after games. Might it be the deal he had has fallen through for some reason, the option has emerged to re-sign him, and someone at the club is using this as an opportunity to present pure correlation as causation to the naive girls and boys on social media? I’m a cynic. Guilty. |
Agreed social media is a cess pit of information, absolutely anybody can start peddling garbage on there and some people fall for it hook line and sinker as the saying goes. If somebody at the club wants to create a narrative that Marti is disliked by the players then twitter/x is their best friend. We've all seen Marti at the end of games hugging Jimmy, that to all intents and purposes looks like a good relationship, I guess in the fullness of time we will find out exactly what Martis relationship was with the players but from the little detail we do know he had a poor relationship with Nourry. Just maybe Jimmy had a good relationship with Marti and is pi**ed off with how he has been treated which could have caused problems with contract negotiations, personally want Jimmy to sign he is a very big player for us, he can cover two positions in defence and was one of the key reasons we stayed up.

The worst place to get any truthful info from unless it’s on the official site.

So anything you read that you don’t like is scurrilous rumours being peddled by the club? Right 👍

The inevitability of that comment made me laugh, I genuinely think LFW is populated by a lot of intelligent people who are interested in facts which is why we question everything and don't accept gossip as some substantial information. I don't think you can compare in any way social media, X or Facebook to the content on LFW, if somebody posts something on here then it is discussed in a sensible way, a lot of posts are personal opinions which will not surprisingly vary and create good debate. As an example Wilkins thinks Dunne is rubbish, that his choice, I think he's been outstanding for the last couple of years, one of the main reasons we have not been relegated. I can see why he would criticise him but his positive attributes far outweigh the negatives. I have sat and watched us defend corners and set pieces for years with my heart in my mouth and having Jimmy in the back four has taken away some of that fear that we will always concede. It's true somebody can come on here to try and manipulate the narrative but they will get called out if they can't back up their information with facts, personally I'm tired of people saying Marti didn't get on with the players, I find it very hard to believe and when he leaves I hope Clive can get an interview with him just to get the truth. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

If Clive interviews MC how do you know that what MC says will be the truth?

We don’t. Everyone has an agenda. That’s why journalists typically sourced information from at least two different places. It’s why police want two accounts/pieces of evidence to corroborate something. There are multiple sources saying the same thing…have been all season.

We don't obviously but I want to hear his side of the story, in his opinion what we're the issues that caused the rift between him and Nourry, loads of speculation, then it's up to everybody what they want to believe. My guess is Marti has gone back to Spain for a well earned rest while his agent tries to sort things out, I'm pretty sure if he wants to keep getting paid he can't talk to the press but that will all change when he gets a job. It's supposed to be this week when we find out the players who are going to be released, maybe as a parting gesture one of them can tell us what Martis relationship was like with the players.

I think we'll have to wait a few years to hear his side of it, similar to when Warbs went he's never actually said what the problems were

You go public with these things "on the record" then don't expect to work within football again. Ever. It's very much a closed shop. A future club Chairman / owner won't touch you with a barge pole if you've broken that code and aired the dirty washing in public. Past actions and indicator to future conduct and all that.

Very good point Lblock, it's crazy that situation exists, so we will never know the truth and are saddled with the narrative that is coming from the club.

Which is why Managers/Head Coaches, of any club, always seem guarded in pre-match and post match interviews. Don't ever expect them to say what they really think, that's for the dressing room. I never watch those interviews as they are a waste of time.

Can point you to dozens of happy clapper posts i've done on this subject. I'm allowed one or two. He's also not actually signed. Will be delighted when he does. It's a fair point too bearing in mind how MC is having his integrity questioned in the vacuum of information. And of course, SM is full of this shit: [Post edited 21 May 13:39]
