Awful family circumstances - his dad passing away this week..
Could not have been that old ie Jimmy is mid 20s I assume.
Perfectly reasonable not to play today but a man of the match performance.
Not only scored - it had to be - but shortly after made a wonder challenge with a Norwich forward through on goal.
Was also up against their star man and he was well controlled.
Definitely deserves to be a fans favourite but that performance today, especially given his circumstances was iconic.
A true Ranger.

Cifuentes and Dunne were quite close from what I understand. Certainly looked that way at FT after games. Might it be the deal he had has fallen through for some reason, the option has emerged to re-sign him, and someone at the club is using this as an opportunity to present pure correlation as causation to the naive girls and boys on social media?

Agreed social media is a cess pit of information, absolutely anybody can start peddling garbage on there and some people fall for it hook line and sinker as the saying goes. If somebody at the club wants to create a narrative that Marti is disliked by the players then twitter/x is their best friend.
We've all seen Marti at the end of games hugging Jimmy, that to all intents and purposes looks like a good relationship, I guess in the fullness of time we will find out exactly what Martis relationship was with the players but from the little detail we do know he had a poor relationship with Nourry.
Just maybe Jimmy had a good relationship with Marti and is pi**ed off with how he has been treated which could have caused problems with contract negotiations, personally want Jimmy to sign he is a very big player for us, he can cover two positions in defence and was one of the key reasons we stayed up. |  | | |

The inevitability of that comment made me laugh, I genuinely think LFW is populated by a lot of intelligent people who are interested in facts which is why we question everything and don't accept gossip as some substantial information.
I don't think you can compare in any way social media, X or Facebook to the content on LFW, if somebody posts something on here then it is discussed in a sensible way, a lot of posts are personal opinions which will not surprisingly vary and create good debate.
As an example Wilkins thinks Dunne is rubbish, that his choice, I think he's been outstanding for the last couple of years, one of the main reasons we have not been relegated. I can see why he would criticise him but his positive attributes far outweigh the negatives. I have sat and watched us defend corners and set pieces for years with my heart in my mouth and having Jimmy in the back four has taken away some of that fear that we will always concede.

Don't ever expect them to say what they really think, that's for the dressing room.
