Reform Wales on 15:32 - May 4 by Dr_Winston | Where have I said it would make them more safe? Not once have I attempted to make that point. What I said was they would be no more dangerous at that speed, which is correct. If a 20mph limit is in place because of a school, what purpose does that limit serve when the school is closed? Are we supposed to drive slowly to avoid knocking over kids that aren't there? |
OK, as safe then, which is still a ridiculous statement, how can you claim that increasing a speed limit from 40mph to 70mph makes that section of road just as safe, likewise increasing the motorway limit to 85mph, it’s just madness. A lot of schools, especially primary schools, are in built up areas, all such built up areas and those without schools such as large housing estates should be 20mph and nothing will convince me otherwise.

There is nothing the matter with being proven wrong You seem to have a problem accepting opinions of others Many 20 mph are ludicrous Some national speed limits should be 40 mph I'd have a 80 mph motorway limit reduced to 50 in wet weather We all believe ourselves to be good drivers and know it all

I certainly don't disagree that there should be 20mph outside schools, but should it be 24/7 or only school time. Without a doubt built up areas with condensed housing should be 20mph but should roads like the mayals be 20mph, cycle path off the road and a grass verge between this and the pedestrian pavement. It's not the 20mph that's the issue it's how it was implemented.

The road shouldn't have been reduced to 40mph in the first place. I believe that I've already mentioned that. There is no material difference between 60 & 70 on that particular stretch, but I would keep it to 60 on the Mond-Ponty part. I believe that I've already said that too. The speed limit on UK motorways is already one of the lowest in Europe. Next time you're in France, Denmark, Austria, Greece, The Netherlands or Italy feel free to tell them that it's "madness" that the speed limit on their motorways is 80mph. Even Ireland's is higher than ours. We need to keep up with the times. If that frightens you you can stick to the inside lane. Or the A Roads.

It was 25 mph in residential areas in the US when I went there last year. They are the sort of people who have teams of data and research. The Senedd went too far and imposed it without consent of the people and have to row it back in some places. I have found it a minor irritation and struggle to keep my car at below 20mph. It is no big deal for me. Lesson learned move on. Reform ars against clean energy and want dirty energy. This is not progressive thinking..

No, others do not accept my opinion, I make an error in stating what the Doctor said and I rectified it. Am I supposed to agree with someone who I strongly disagree with?

Your priorities may now be your family who do not identify as Welsh. In that case your outlook can be understood. I like you was cut from Welsh rural stock where survival and food on the table was priority. It was quite brutal by today's standards. It is easy to look back with anger and pigeon hole it as typically Welsh. However I suspect it applies to all areas of rural struggle. I did a lot of free work for the grandfather but looking back he did nothing at all for me. It was not expected. The farm worker was called "Gwas" in Welsh which s translates as slave. That just about sums it up. I see the waste stand chanting as pathetic. The chanters would storm out of the farm in seconds in anger and hitch hike back to Swansea hungry.

Fair play you’ve got to get that little jibe in, motorway driving doesn’t frighten me at all. My main concern is road safety in this country and the safety of motorists and pedestrians, especially children.

Not sure I would call neath a dark narrow valley. It is town on the tidal River neath which is where Ben Davies and Connor Roberts where born. Huw Jenkins was born even nearer the sea in a village called Jersey Marine on the edge of the sand dunes.

You don't come across that way. You come across as one of those hands firmly at 10 and 2, feed the wheel properly when turning, trundle around at a minimum of 5mph below the speed limit types. Dai Flatcaps my dad calls them. Apologies if I'm wrong.

The concept of ten to two is to ensure hands do not cross It's not rallying Its better than one hand on wheel , the other resting on the window , fag in hand

Reform Wales on 01:18 - May 7 with 168 views | Robbie | South Wales will always vote red , history has shown that and in my lifetime and future in our great area , I do not agree with that opinion but that is the vote at the ballot box . More frightening is the fact so many youngsters cannot be bothered to vote , why bother their all the same innit , a comment I do agree with regarding Politicians . Do our future generations take an interest or in the latest update on their phones of some wanabee and clicks Farage has won a by election and will gloat in the victory , smaller assets have gone his way too , all great PR and media spin . Reform bandwagon will get the public anger on their side , will it last until the wheels fall off and they melt away . Cannot do any worse than the last few lots sitting in No 10 .
