The system is screwed.
If you are wealthy or have had some called power, you have every chance of zero jail time for serious crimes. Expensive lawyers seem to know the loop holes and can get serious offenders to receive minimal consequences.
Everyone should be tried equally but money talks as it is allowed to thrive within.a crooked justice system, where some are way more protected for reasons of wealth.
Barton should have done some time for this.
Likewise Huw Edwards, a wealthy man got away scot free practically for dreadful crimes and as with others the facade of correctness on the surface seems to mean many can get away with crimes that require punishment fitting.of the crimes they have clearly committed [Post edited 25 Mar 20:07]

The same wife who made a police report then retracted the allegations, then apparently unretracted them. Her game seems to be one of ambivalence, as often seems to be the case for women in passionate/rough-house relationships. Lee Chapman and Lesley Ash were another such couple, if memory serves.

Many others.... their views abhorrent and range from anti-West pro Jihadi as well as facist... but I don't get the imbalance.

Can’t say I have sympathy for Lucy Connolly bearing in mind where her comments went and what happened after it but mental violence gets less than inciting it.
As someone else said, feels like a lottery.
Then again, any of us could end up on a jury, and one of us thinks Barton’s wife deserved it so perhaps society could share some blame and we should remove jury trials. [Post edited 25 Mar 22:30]

Feel the same, Ned, but can't shake the embarrassment that he was allowed to represent our club. Loathed him when he joined and the Wembley victory somewhat tarnished by him lifting the trophy.
He was also instrumental in Warnock's demise, which I still think is the modern day sliding doors moment as far as QPR is concerned.

Yeh, i think exactly the same when i drive past his old house. Its sickening actually.
I didnt really have a massive problem with him when he first joined but after 10 years of watching his antics ,plus all the things said about him , i cant stand the bloke.
His stint in prison was an easy stretch too, from accounts ive seen.
His recent offerings on podcasts etc shows him up to be a first class C U Next Tuesday.
