Hunky Harrison Ashby 18:35 - Apr 12 with 5527 views | BklynRanger | He was good today. Did the simple things well, linked up nicely, no braindead moments that I remember, plenty of pace when he needs it, has an engine on him and kept going. I think that was the best I've seen him by quite a long way.

Hunky Harrison Ashby on 14:13 - Apr 13 by CLAREMAN1995 | Allright Brian I watched the highlight package and yes while his sprint into the box and anticipation was excellent his finish was very poor .Left side foot and we were celebrating for sure ,poor contact but he is a defender after all. Speaking of Cusack Park will you be travelling up with the red rebel horde invading next Sunday its going to be some town take over. 13 goals in 3 games is serious hurling they are looking so good for the McCarthy Cup right now |
I'm hoping to travel, yep. Too early to be talking about Liam!

Even the trophy is named after you. Jeez B, is there anything you can't do?

I think he'll be here next seasn. And i personally wouldn't be disappointed if he was. Despite having a few tough moments this season, and he must know most fans are on his back, he doesnt hide and he always gives his all. Seems to really enjoy playing for us. Just hope the fans give him a bit of a chance and not look to jump of every mistake mistake he might make just to try and make a point. Remember Furlong, and even Barker at times. And even Dunne at the beginning of Marti's reign. Things can change. We shouldn't be so quick to write players off when they're wearing our colours. It doesn't help them or us! Tony Sealy and Mick Leach before Furlong & Barker. We've had a few scapegoats who've gone on to turn things round big time.

No one is just trying to make a point. The mistakes he's made have been of his own making and the criticism has been constructive and justified. Generally speaking QPR fans are a fair bunch. They'll give a player a chance as long as he works hard and does the basics well. If Ashby cuts out the tricks and flicks and focuses on the art of defending then he could be a good player. IMHO, he hasn't shown enough to justify making his loan spell permanent and is one we should avoid.

Hunky Harrison Ashby on 06:03 - Apr 14 with 734 views | HAYESBOY | Thought he played well Sat. Especially in that 25 min period in the 1st half. A great defensive header in the 2nd half saved a certain goal. I wouldn't be against him joining on a perm if a freebie.
| Smells like a trout farm in here |

No, I wouldn't, either. I think there's a good player in there, but that he's not where he should be given his 'pedigree'. Held his position well, some good tackles and the header near the end was excellent. Gets uo the pitch, just needs to learn to keep his passing simple.

If a freebie on realistic wages then perhaps. However, he signed a "long-term contract" with Newcastle in 2023 so unlikely.
