Been there a few times including the ‘Trevor Kettle’ draw which gratefully brings out Clive’s report on that game each time and is worth another read! Best thing about Preston is the pub on the station platform. Other than that…….. | |

The first pub on the right after walking up the station ramp always has a lot of Rangers in it. Never walked to the ground from the train (loads of cabs coz of the station and grab one after the game),so no idea how stiff a hike it is. Older stadium situated in Deepdale, a very 'northern mill town' area, though surrounded by scenic rolling hills.
One year, I was surprised to see a coach full of fans pull up beside the ground and read 'Preston North End Irish Supporters Club' on a banner at the back of bus. I spoke with a couple of them and indeed they do have a small but steady fan base in Ireland. | |

If you like your ale/craft beer, then the Moorbrook is a good spot about 15 mins walk from the ground. It's got a beer garden and did decent pizzas. Not sure if they have any rules re colours, but we were clearly not PNE and the locals were all sound. |  |
