Bazunu’s loan spell ended early 19:44 - Apr 25 with 1962 views | LondonSaint76 | Sports Witness are reporting today that Standard Liège have terminated Bazanu’s loan spell early and sent him back to Southampton. The official reason is that he has returned early for treatment on a new knee injury - however, Belgian media outlet Sudinfo reported that Bazunu played just eight games, keeping one clean sheet and conceding 15 goals. Sudinfo say he ‘hasn’t been reassuring at all’ since he arrived in Belgium, meaning the stopper wasn’t convincing say Sports Witness. God help us if SR think he’s the answer to replace Ramsdale, I would think given his proven stats we already know about we’d not have much chance of going back up with him in goal.

Bazunu’s loan spell ended early on 19:49 - Apr 25 with 1937 views | felly1 | Please please please Sports Republic, get another goalkeeper...or play McCarthy as a last resort. Why we never brought Johannson from Rotherham last season when it was obvious the guy was a top class Championship keeper at a bare minimum. Stoke signed him for about a million I believe. This season he's been their player of the season and just behind Trafford in performance stats.

Didn't Stoke just get stuffed 6-0? Jesting (to a degree) when you look at the number of goals Ramsdale has conceded, so it can't all be down to the keeper

Bazunu’s loan spell ended early on 22:18 - Apr 25 with 1755 views | saintmark1976 | In Bazunu’s defence he does appear to be quite a decent footballer with his feet, just pretty hopeless with his hands. Perhaps Sports Republic will play him at centre forward next season when they finally accept that Ross Stewart’s long term injury was exactly that, long term.

Bazunu’s loan spell ended early on 13:47 - Apr 26 with 1173 views | mushinexile | Bazunu's defence? An oxymoron. I cannot recall a save from him that had any class at all. I may be wrong, but despite being an international keeper, he is useless, full stop. I remember an international where Flowers was in goal for Wales and Antti was at the other end. Back in the days when we had goalkeepers.

Please don’t play McCarthy Or Bazunu We need a new keeper AGAIN and yes that Rotherham chap was the one but far too logical a signing

Did you say Ten Year Plan? God help us. SR haven't got a serious 5 game plan. Despite Spors, their 'model' will still fail. Does it matter if we get promoted next year without serious football savy owners? We have to acquire at least five Premier quality players and bed them on this year. That ain't happening. The 3 going up from the Champ now, will come straight back down. They're simply not good enough and I'll be shocked and delighted if we are over the next two seasons. Hold on to your hats, it's going to be a bumpy ride. [Post edited 26 Apr 20:47]

Bazunu’s loan spell ended early on 11:03 - Apr 27 with 752 views | cocklebreath | The whole good with his feet thing is bollox, he’s terrible at that as well, I’ve decide any Saints fan who sticks up for him is a f()ckin moron. I know there’s too many to choose from but he is my number 1 worst Saints player of all time, I used to absolutely hate mccarthy as he’s awful but I’d rather see Mcarthy in goal than him, how can a football club be run so badly? Complete idiots top to bottom.

Never understood why we let Forster go and keep MCcarthy. Forster had got his mojo back after bizarrely being ignored and his performance against Arsenal was the reason we stayed up that season. Had we lost that we would have been relegated

Bazunu’s loan spell ended early on 12:11 - Apr 27 by Butty101 | Jesus Christ that was a shocking performance. On that evidence you have to wonder why we paid 11mil for him. |
Because it’s what Sports Republic do. Given this season’s shocking ineptitude I do seriously wonder if we actually have a recruitment team. Perhaps the office manager puts the names of anyone costing more than £10 million on pieces of paper and gets the car park attendant to draw them out ?

I am beginning to wonder if it is the Saints Foundation who are to blame, perhaps they have found a couple of the intellectually challenged people they assist a job in our recruitment department?

Totally agree with that, made no sense at the time and even less now The fact that some are still saying play McCarthy next season is staggering We have made HUGE errors in the three main positions at any football club - GK CB and Striker Not had three really decent players in an age
