Roath blue certainly has a high opinion

"For us as Cardiff City fans, this isn’t just football, it’s more than that. It’s part of us as people, a culture, a way of life and is deep routed as part of our identity.

We are the capital city of Wales, we are flying the Welsh flag in the domestic football league, we are the biggest and most successful club in Wales.

We as fans aren’t the type of fan that would be found in a United, Liverpool or Man City shirt. We didn’t pick Cardiff, Cardiff chose us "

To be fair, the first paragraph is fair. It sort of goes downhill rapidly after that though😂

'we are flying the Welsh flag in the domestic football league, we are the biggest and most successful club in Wales.'

It's just so odd. Do they walk around with eyes closed and ear muffs on ?

If you were to ask supporters of the other 90 clubs which club has been flying the Welsh flag in domestic football for the last twenty years i'm pretty certain the poll would come out something like 95/5 in favour of the Swans. That would be from people with no axe to grind.

If you were to ask them about the previous eighty years the vast majority would probably say who cares. It's the last twenty that's important. If you said that Cardiff won the FA Cup in 1927 they'd probably laugh at the thought that that is something they still boast about. I doubt if many Bury fans boast about having won it cup twice during that time.

Some of them (not all, some good, sensible CCFC supporters post on here) continue to post things that just make everyone else laugh at them.

They are just saying it because they want it to be true. Saying it doesn't make it true.

Absolutely, the first part refers to football clubs across the world. Strange as they are, they are no different to any other club in that respect.

Modern football fans may talk about having great history but they don't boast about an individual even from the 60's, do they?

I don't remember anyone boasting about winning the league or cup in the 60's yet go back another 40 years and it's something special even today ? Well it is if you're a bloobird apparently.
I don't even remember us boastimg much recently about 2013, only 12 years back. They seem quite pathetic with this kind of rant, really they do.

Wrexham are flying the flag higher than they do. They put great store in being the capital city side, I've never noticed Arsenal, Spurs etc spouting similar crap. Maybe because it doesn't matter.

As I keep on saying, they can be bigger but we are better, and right now so are Wrexham.

The most successful club in Wales? What metrics is he using - or is he ranking clubs alphabetically???

The BBC will definitely be searching for a 115 year old who was there. They will have a few special programmes on to remind everyone that arsenal’s Welsh goal keeper cheated them the FA Cup

Reading their forum it’s clear they expect automatic promotion, their arrogance is bewildering.

I only knew of one Cardiff fan in Haverfordwest back in time. He went on to become a county champion in the 200 metres.

The number of clubs who have won major trophies in the last 15/20 years is incredibly small.

We’re one of them. And nobody can ever take that away from us.

Given their current financial situation on the balance of probabilities it's far more likely that they'll be at the lower end of the table rather than the top.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I know a few Cardiff fans who are realistic regarding he situation they find themselves in. The amount of debt they are in to individuals and the amount of interest they pay on that debt is very high.
They are in deep trouble.

Sorry mate down arrowed by mistake

Like it's been said on here many times cardiff are a strange club they really do think they are this really big powerhouse in the footballing world I can't even compare them to anyone else for their self-importance as I can't think of any other fans that are so deluded, they are like MK Don's rattling around in a stadium that is way too big for them and at best they are a average championship club....which they are not even that anymore wibble wibble wibble
