For starters we probably wouldn't have made the same subs.

We took the lead three times and let that lead slip three times, shocking worst we've been since Sheez took over, Franco, O'Brien were disappointing today. Key gives far to much ball away, Joe's last ever game and Naughts last game for us and we should have sent them off with a win. Our lapses in defence with the space we give Oxford in the forward positions was pathetic, if I was Sheehan I'd be fing tamping with our defensive performance.

Harry Darling offered big money to stay on 09:37 - May 3 by Whiterockin | I think that would depend if Delcroix stays. He has a year left on his contract, I would be happy with another year loan on the right terms. Burnley probably won't require him in the Premier League. |
He went missing to many times today to be a viable replacement for Darling.

No, it was a league game and 3 points up for grabs. They should be fighting for points until the final whistle if the final game but they didn’t. Max is right, I hope Sheehan rips them a new one..

He's not going to though. Do you think he'd have lined up a sub where the captaincy swaps between Allen and Naughton if there was anything on the game?

Absolutely but we musnt lose sight of 1 the need to secure Darling or 2 find an adequate replacement and 3 find suitable cover at centre back todays game doesnt highlight defensive frailites but as it stands we only have Cabango as a recognised CB unless Darling resigns. If we get the ideal scenario and Darling stays we are left with no cover ....so we need Lowe or Delcroix as well as Darling

Totally agree with your view. Yes we are p!ssed off with not winning but if there was something to play for allen wouldn't have started and naughton probably wouldn't have gone on at all and more importantly we would have won.

No, he wouldn’t. But that’s irrelevant because the errors were similar to those throughout the season. In particular, the last goal was an unbelievable mis-pass to their player by LoB and the first goal two players going for the ball in defence. The latter was well before subs were introduced and the former a defensive cock up. My point is, you play 46 games and you go in to these games with a must win mentality, not what we saw today. Did it matter? No, not really but I don’t like sloppiness and it was there in abundance today.

It wasn't must win though. We were going to finish eleventh no matter what happened in the game. It was an end of season dead rubber more concerned with honouring Allen and Naughton than the final result. Would have been nice to win, but I'd be surprised if there's even a post match post mortem, never mind Sheehan hauling the players over the coals for not closing out the win.

Harry Darling offered big money to stay on 23:55 - May 3 by lifelong | I thought our movement in the game was excellent, a pleasure to watch. |
There was excellent movement by both teams to be fair once each team got control of the ball and some incisive play nice at times to see the ball played on the ground more often in the final third and the three players who have snatched at chances or tried too hard and have been critised put the ball confidently in the back of the net. I think the game sung back and forth as the scoreline showed the home team pressed as would be request but the home fans and the away team reacting to the scoreline as it went against them. Would like the improved finishing of Eom, Ronald and Cullen and the defensive improvements of Key and Tymon continue as I did under Sheehan but I must say that Key really needs to learn to open his body up to let the ball go past his body to enable the ball down the line first time instead of killing the change of the point of attack and slowing attacks down if he is closed down the ball goes out off play off the opposition player instead of cutting back into danger, Naughton sold a lovely dummy to get the ball down the wing. Nice to see Parker get involved for Cullen's goal and Ben Lloyd getting a teasing cross on the floor in for a missed opportunity for a striker? The questions for me is how serious is Darling's injury? Who is going to replace the leaving players and the loan players. We have a number of players who will remain in the first team squad, do we need to extend some of their contracts and have we even got cover for them, given the players who are leaving or returning to their contracted clubs? Lots of work to be done or worked out in the closed season

It was an end of season dead rubber At least we got entertainment and scored some brilliant goals Anyone taking it seriously needs to take a breath and examine it in the cold light of day. There were possibly 5 or 6 players who, with good recruitment, won't feature in our first 11 next season. Sheehan's mind come full time is who and what he needs for team strengthening As the OP states and today's article confirms, HD has had an ultimatum Final offer on the table. Either he takes it or we have alternatives Some exciting rumours about possible deals in the offing Yesterday is history as is Joe and Naughts. Thanks for the memory Onward to next season

Absolutely. There is no way those subs would have been made if we needed the points, I think the bench would even have been different, would Parker AND Lloyd have come on. Incidentally our front four at the final whistle all came through the academy.

Harry Darling offered big money to stay on 09:35 - May 4 with 906 views | Whiterockin | Sell out attendances for the last two home matches with virtually nothing to play for and a fantastic atmosphere, probably indicated to everyone that the club is finally moving in the right direction. Is it enough to persuade a player to commit when you are talking about significant bonuses being part of the financial package. It might.

I understand why so many lost interest and walked away under Williams and his nibs Contrary to what Res might think , Swansea folk are not dumb and can smell BS through a brick wall It's criminal as to what they have been fed That said, it's time to get back Looking forward to popping down to Wrexham and buying lifelong a shandy and some pork scratching s

Typical last game of the season with nothing on it I suppose, disappointing for the Swans fans who turned up in very good numbers to watch it, Mrs and I would have gone if it had been 3pm Ko, we couldn't do the half 12 Ko and I would have been disappointed with us having taken the lead 3 times only to be pegged back by lax defending especially the third goal.

Harry Darling offered big money to stay on 19:25 - May 3 by vetchonian | we need another centre back even if Darling signs if not two. With Naughton going and I assume Christie leaves us lught there anyone know how good the u21 centre baxks are....is Lissah still around? |
With Allen, Naughton, McLaughlin and Christie gone the only player in the whole team over the age of 26 is Ginnelly and its seemingly touch and go if we will ever see him in a Swans shirt again. The club is in desperate need of an experienced head or two who doesn't mind not being involved every week but can step in when needed. Such a player would likely have minimal if any fee and low wages, someone on Phil's site suggested Pearson from Huddersfield who is leaving on a free this summer would fit that kind of profile.
