I think the calculation was that Jimmy was vital to our survival so the difference between selling him for a few million in the new year and getting relegated if we lost him was probably taken into account in the decision to let him play his contract out. |  |

Probably based on promotion, appearances and international call ups.
So, really the only money coming in would have been from savings on wages, which as the budget was already set I guess was not as vital as survival? |  | | |
