Be a shame to lose him, he's improved since he's been here and has come on a hell of a lot, him and Ben read each other very well, he's got a mistake in him much like Ben, but he's still young for a centre back at 25 he'll only get better.

No, now's not the time to play hard ball. Since we've told him that our latest offer is the best we can do (this summer), leave it at that. Also remind him that as he saw at the tail end of the season that Swans are building up to a fabulous 2025-2026 season, and emphasize that it's highly likely that we'll be challenging for a play-off spot, with or without him. However, we'll be in a better position to challenge for a top two automatic spot if he's with us. Tell him if that happens, then we can discuss/review his part in the upcoming season, and re-negotiate his contract on a warranted basis. It may come down to how well the Swans management project optimism for the upcoming season. If he buys in to the optimism, their outlook, their story, then it's very likely he'll sign on. | | | |
