Cooper did t it to Asoro. Was that clueless? Cooper told Asoro he has played his last game for the club and would not feature under him. He had a year or two left. The club got a small fee and his wages off the books. Was that clueless? The only difference was Asoro was not playing very well and Darling was better. Even he had a shaky spell under Williams. Asoro could have sat tight but players rarely do this in the Championship. Swansea lose Darling for nothing and Wycombe will lose Low for nothing a player perhaps who has lost his mojo? Ok I'll spell it out to you with facts not the nonsense you post. 12 months ago Coleman was in charge of negotiations, he was completely useless. Both Cabango and Darling were very badly treated in initial negotiations to extend the contracts, in all truth Coleman was very arrogant and played the Billy big Bollux. Both were furious and walked away from the table because of the stupid way they were being treated. Both were advised by their agents that they could get them far better deals. In December the club softened their approach with the January window looming. Cabangos agent could get him nothing like the deals Darling's could and as he has local ties he signed a much improved offer. It was nowhere near enough for Darling as his offer was virtually double elsewhere. Coleman is eventually removed and common sense prevails. Gorringe and Montague treat Darling in a much more civilised manner and he comes back to the table and is provided with a much improved offer. The problem now is our improvement in recent months has not only put Sheehan in the shop window but our players as well including Darling who has now received better offers elsewhere. The truth of the matter is if Coleman hadn't been such an idiot 12 months ago both Cabango and Darling would have probably signed a contract then and on cheaper terms. Keith If you feel any of this untrue or unfair on an individual please amend or delete. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Doing it to Asoro is fine. Same goes for Pedersen, Tjoe a on, Ogbeta and plenty of others. You can’t do it to key players, especially with a squad as thin as ours. That much is obvious, surely?

He did indeed, should have kept that announcement under his hat until after the last game and Slot dropped a clanger by putting him on instead of starting him and taking him, it was no secret that he was going anyway. He'd served them well for 20yrs and he didn't deserve that. The ones that did boo showed no class at all. [Post edited 13 May 17:55]

I sense with you that anything you do not agree with in "Nonsense? " Ultimatums at the end of a contract is pretty useless. Darling will see he ultimatum and discuss it with is agent and chuckle. "Do not worry about that Harry. Take your time mate. They need at least two CBs". Coleman was too weak. The time for ultimatum's was 12 months ago . Then the conversation with his agent was a very different story. "They would not put me in the reserves would they really?" "Who know Harry it is your risk" "If they put you on the transfer list they are serious and you are due a cut". "Best to string them along and suggest there have been no talks". £1.5m and another £1m in saved wages for a bit of hardball. Darling has been playing ducks and drakes. [Post edited 13 May 18:01]

I don’t really rate Low. Seen him 7 or 8 times on the telly and he hasn’t looked up to much. 18 appearances this season, he had a couple of injuries but a lot of the time couldn’t get in to League 1 Wycombe team.
