Monjaro diet jabs 19:32 - Jun 18 with 1207 viewsmax936

Anyone used them or using them? one of the nursing assistants who call here has lost a load of weight along with her husband.

I've started cutting back mon to fri, but I relax a little on the weekend, don't overdue the booze just 3/4 bottles, I do have a few glasses of Red.

I've no intention of doing the jabs though not at my age I just don't trust them

I wouldn’t trust them either. Rapid weight loss is rarely sustainable or healthy. I don’t pretend to understand the science, but it screams fad to me.

You’re doing it the right way by making realistic changes to your diet/drinking. That’s the sort of thing people can keep up for a long period.

I'm limited in my ability to exercise with my knees, even the exercise bike causes pain, gonna start some exercise soon though, away this weekend at Hereford and walking the paths along the Wye with my trolley is exercise in itself, the areas to fish this time of the year are a proper trek,

That's to much weight to lose in 9 weeks, it can't be good no chance just never know with those jabs once its in your system it could cause issues further down the line.

Wouldn't touch them!

I get their benefits but not good long term and once dropped will likely see the weight come back on with god knows the long term side effects.
As stated by others, quick weight loss is not a good thing at all.

Regards your last paragraph. I agree that it benefits those with weight or other issues that require them to take these jabs.

Unfortunately there are a lot of people taking these jabs who are in positions where they are taking it for a quick fix.

Absolutely. If someone is overweight, it’s almost always due to lifestyle (appreciate some medical conditions make this hard to control).

A jab that allows you to lose weight, whilst maintaining the lifestyle that put you in that situation, is only ever going to be a short term fix.

As a kickstarter that allows people to potentially exercise more, as well as eat healthier, there’s probably a lot of merit to it.

Lost 2 and half stone in the last 6 weeks Steve, no bread, spuds or anything fattening, booze gone which was very difficult as you know I like a drink, walking a mile with the dog in the morning, another mile over the beach with the dog in the evening and a mile in the gym on the machines. First stone or so quite easy as I was massively overweight, but its more of a struggle now, another 2 stone to go hopefully, 1 of them before retirement August 1st

I won't be trying it, just posted it as a discussion thread, loads seem to being using the stuff, its not for me, I've dropped down to around 109kg's from over 113, just by having porridge around 7am and a sandwich or my preferred option turkey of beef salad anytime between 12 and 2pm sometimes bit later depends jobs I'm doing, then have a meal between 6 and 7 in evening.
Weekend is similar, but I like my toast on a saturday and sunday, but I don't pick and I stay away from sweet stuff as much as can.
I need to step it up though, gonna try that CLA supplement and do some exercise, dumbbell circuits and try and persevere with exercise bike, hopefully the circuits will help my knees.
I won't be doing any jabs that's for sure, hate needles its bad enough have blood tests, plus I won't put myself at risk with my BP levels.

I'm in a catch 22 situation atm , since last late year I've had to increase pain relief with a specific form of medicine and the side effects are weight increase, this combined with a other treatment has caused me to obtain fat around my waist with a gain of 8kgs from then until now. I have always considered myself a healthy eater with no change to my diet and very rarely now drink alcohol .
I have considered looking at discussing this with my doctor as going from a large size to now XL is concerning. Exercise and eating less is always the first response but atm due to one of my conditions means I can't do any meaningful exercise other than walk.

Noom (an excellent way of making you think about what you eat) & the gym.

Feel much better for it.

One of the biggest issues with appetite suppressants is people lean towards eating the foods they enjoy, don’t bother with the rest as they aren’t hungry and still manage to lose weight living on junk food.

If someone lives entirely on KFC but keeps below their maintenance calories, they will still lose weight and fool themselves into thinking they are doing well.

They have the potential to be life saving and life changing, but if it's easy it isn't sustainable.

Just had some encouraging news off Doctor blood pressure is down weight down to 107kg's from 113kgs, he's reduced my BP tabs from 10mgs to 5mgs it was 110/81.

I keep a check every few days here, but my recent read was 127/80.

Told me to carry on has I am and add exercise, nothing like a bit of encouragement to give you that spurt.

Well all that is well known, I've yo/yo'd with weight since my mid thirties once I stopped the sports I was doing, went from training everyday even on a Sunday all be it after a gutsful on the saturday after a game, I went from that to doing nothing until I decided to get my act together, but then fell down again usually after a holiday, lot of on and off comfort eating in that though, due to family issues.

Got to stick at it this time, for my health if nothing else water retention in my feet and bottom of my legs, apparently amlodipine can cause that the Doc tells me, so the more i can do naturally to keep my BP low is my way forward.

Like I said at the start I won't be taking the risk of using diet jabs
