I completely agree, but I gained the impression that Beans was claiming a profit & was definitely ridiculing the idea of a possible loss!
As to the squad being stronger this season, I do hope so, but lets leave the judgement on that till we've seen the additions play!
12 months ago, I was very happy with our recruitment & expecting a much better season than 23/24. I think my expectations were too high for players I hadn't seen play! I'm waiting for August to arrive this time around, although I do have high (unrealistic?) hopes for Harvey Vale.
I learnt many years ago not to hang my hat completely on newcomers as I was estatic at signing Peter Eastoe & David Needham! [Post edited 29 Jun 13:48]

You’re right. We can’t make judgements now. I’m hoping that with 1 season under their belts, the signings from last season will be better prepared. And also a full pre-season here, which they all lacked. The 2 new guys, should be able to step straight in but who knows! | | | |

Yeah, he started posting a month ago and every post has been to praise Nourry's work (no problem with that, if that's what one believes) by contrasting with cherry-picked digs at LF and Ramsey in comparison (massive problem with that, as by and large everything he says is BS that ignores all contemporary context). Extremely fishy, bad faith actor.
I think the club and its CEO is having a really good summer so far. But I thought that in the summer of 2022, too, when they appointed Beale and signed the likes of JCS, Paal, Laird, Iroegbunam, even Roberts - all on paper brilliant prospects and just what Rangers needed alongside Chair, Willock, Dieng, Dickie, Johansson, Amos...we had the makings of a great squad, bright young coach, started accordingly like a steam train.
Let's hope it's a different story. But seasons are not defined in June or July . Events, events... |
