Tagger beat Xu in straight sets in the Australian girls, Tagger beat Klugman two and love in the French open girls final and I thought last year Klugman was going to be the best of the young British 3 (she is the youngest) although US open winner Mika did beat Klugman surviving match points I believe to win the British girls indoors I think.
Perhaps Tagger hasn't seen a grass court until this season who knows as she is an Austrian living in Italy.
I looked at the draw at the start of Wimbledon girls and without checking again so Xu (who did beat proper pros in the warm up tournaments prior to Wimbledon) will have to beat #3 seed Tagger in the Quarters, fellow Brit #2 Klugman in the semis and #1 Jones in the final if the seeds keep on winning. |
