Diogo Jota on 13:53 - Jul 5 by trampie | It shouldn't be a story, particularly on the day of the funeral, it should be a private matter between the club and the family, but somebody on here decided to bring it up, having been brought up it needed saying most top clubs would have done that, it should not be a story. And then you exasperated it, just like you normally do.

Thanks a bonkers way for them to look at things, I wonder if they’d have felt the same way about Facebook or Twitter if they’d found out vis that medium because the police hadn’t delivered the message? They’d have probably whinged and disliked the police for not attending!! Delivering a death message is just about the worst thing someone can have to do.

It is and why fatal RTCs are life changing moments for family members It's the expectation of the arrival that never comes When folk drive a car , it's expected they arrive at the destination

Thankfully situations like this are very few and far between so we don't know if "most top clubs would have done it". Fact is Liverpool have, and that should be commended that they're stepping up and ensuring the family are well looked after. Nah e they don't need to (legally, or morally) as I'm sure the Jota family are wealthy and he'd likely have had a life insurance policy. But the fact they have and put an arm around d the family of one of their own players speaks volumes. Not particularly a fan of the club/city (although had a few cracking few weekends away there) but credit where it's due.

The first thing that came to mind was how come it's in the public domain ?, I was asked recently on here if I give to charity and I answered because I was asked, otherwise I would keep it too myself, strange how this story was in the press. How was it in the press ?, was it in his contract anyway ?, other top clubs would surely have done the same ?, I agree credit where credit is due and I do give them credit but its something that doesn't deserve huge praise as its what should happen anyway.

I have been to Goodison and Anfield to see the Swans basically in and out of the place, but would not go to the City even if you paid me, I thought it was an awful dive of a place. And I'm not saying that to wind you up, I thought the place was a complete dive, the place was said to have been abandoned by Thatcher, Toxteth riots, unemployment, poverty, awful place, it was a different era and things have supposed to have improved but I wouldnt risk it, I've always had a policy of trying to avoid 3rd World countries and I put Liverpool in that category.

Was there talk of Liverpool paying school fees as well ? I thought I initially read that a few days ago but can't find it now.

I found it on the net now in various places, reports of Liverpool intending to fund Jotas children's education and fund his children for life. As well as pay up his contract to his family. I wonder how much they are going to fund the children for life for ?, how many children are there ? they could all live till they are 100. I would expect things to be kept private but how tit bits have been put out there is strange , unless certain things are false.

Diogo Jota on 13:25 - Jul 8 with 595 views | Gwyn737 | It probably was in his contract but that's not the point. People will be thinking about his young family and many wouldn't necessarily expect his contract to be paid up. Liverpool came out and confirmed it which was abslolutely the right thing to do.

| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |
