Enjoyed that immensely.

Clive trying not to swear is very entertaining. Despite that a few bum hole references and best of all the ‘fluffer on a eunuch cruise’ line.

Start as you mean to go on!

The Second Tier guys pretty obviously don't actually watch the matches they're talking about and just trying to get the outrage economy to pay for their replica shirts. It's actually embarrassing listening to them

To be fair to them, they've clearly built a large listenership that probably earns them a few quid. But the content is powerpuff.

Like working in bloody Kew Gardens that room.
Moving house shortly so will get myself a nice QPR shirt or something in the background.

Can you also purchase a Gary Neville to ensure it’s up straight this time 😉

Thank you for this, something to get through on the Friday commute!

agree

Theres also the Coventry duo who are OK plus the girl is nice to look at.

Their recent podcast on summer transfers they listed Dembele as a new signing

That's not actually wrong; he didn't become permanent until now, the fan's forum announcement way back in September was basically 'we've got an option to buy after his loan ends which we've decided to exercise' just done incredibly early. Also for some reason they pretended his single digit appearances at the time had triggered something which seemed obviously made up but who knows.

Yes I enjoy watching Sophie and Matt but for some strange reason the nearly always pick against us in their weekly uploads .
They do love Marti and to be fair Matt picked QPR to survive last year even when we were bottom .
Have not seen their views on Julien S. yet but I suspect they will have QPR in the bottom half again

I thought at the fans forum last year CN announced that we had signed Dembele on a perm as he had surpassed the agreed amount of appearances which at the time was SIX!!!!!

Same time as JCS and MC & ZC

No big deal though

captains fantastic

One thing I do disagree with Gab on is his view of Fox signing a new deal not being important. I think it is crucial that both Fox and Colback sign for a year, not for the team but that it allows other youngsters to go out on loan.
As mentioned, both Kolli and Lloyd needed loans, by signing Colback and Fox it means say Tuck and Akindileni can go on loan and gain experience.

Big hole at LB, potential hole at RB

Same failed forwards from last year plus a failed forward from previous years, though despite those barren years is our big hope for this year, even if, understandably, he can’t wait to get out of the place.

A thousand midfielders that only a 0-10-0 formation might comfortably accommodate the bulk of them (maybe necessary with the scarcity of championship forwards).

Oh, and Cookie aside, not a single player who’s experienced the success of a promotion.

This manager had better be good.

I think we need replacements in those roles but not necessarily those two unless very, very cheap! Neither were great last season - both had the odd decent game and the odd stinker, both were overly injured.

This is where others seem to be a lot more positive than I am at the minute about our prospects for the year ahead.

An already pretty rubbish team from last year has lost quite a few players from it, we've signed two players from League One (you can count three if you want to include Kelman, but then he's got to still be here by the end of August...), changed our manager to a complete unknown, and yet somehow there's quite a bit of optimism around?!

I hope we have a cracking season of course but I can't see I'm that optimistic about it.

Not optimistic either. We have lost a good Manager again (as Warburton and Warnock). We need a striker or 2 who can score a few at Championship level, a LB and an 8.

That's the powerful suggestive psychology of a few new signings - they create the endorphin rush that children get with new toys.

The twitterati is abuzz with news that Walsh is to be number one goalkeeper next season and Nardi will be off.

Norfradamus strikes again?

Clive’s turning into an influencer.

The next obvious step is to take LfW onto TikTok 😱

According to reports on twitter it was Nourry who's decided that Walsh should be number 1

Although as it's twitter probably best taken with a pinch of salt

Suggestion being that Nardi was a Cifuentes pick.

Love how it's being reported more now:

🚨 Transfer News 🚨

Paul Nardi is being pushed out of QPR. The French goalkeeper has been informed that the club now wants to play Joe Walsh. Clubs in the Championship, Ligue 1, Ligue 2, and even in Belgium are keeping an eye on the former Nancy player's situation.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

This is another of those studies in how rumours spread.

One thing I think I remember (could be wrong) was Marti wanted a keeper who could come off his line quickly. No seriously. Nardi seemed to be that early on and then it quickly stopped. No idea when or even why.

On the full backs, I think we're still fine with JD in that ungainly but effective role, just have to hope Adamson is an acceptable backup.

For LB I've got high hopes for Esquerdina - think he could turn out to be this season's money player. But the balance is wrong with him and Larkeche. Best thing would be to cash in on Larkeche now that he's signed the new deal, get a stodgy Bidwell type in and let Esquerdina come through during the season. And keep Fox well away from LB.

From the inside training content they’re putting out, I think we can safely say it won’t be a 352. Every clip is 1 v 1s on wings with Dembele, Poku, Chair etc and I don’t think they’ll be playing wingback. Variations of 4231/442/4141 feels much more likely and fits squad building (less the FBs, although from clips seen so far really like look of the Brazilian lad).

Rather amusing to hear him talk about us needing to become a development club...a decade after Les set out his stall to do that. Very easy to say it, slightly harder to actually do.

This is the point Dave Mc keeps making on Twitter isn't it - what they're saying now is nothing new.

I listened to this yesterday and then Dave Mc's latest podcast today. Gab clearly does he research well even if 352 sounds unlikely.

By contrast, Kevin Gallen on Dave Mc's podcast, didn't even know the name of the team we played last week (CD Castellon), didn't know we are playing Toulouse this Friday and obviously hadn't done any research ahead of the podcast. His main contribution was talking about pre-season back when he was a player. I know Dave uses him to give an ex-players view, but if he doesn't even keep up with basic info, for me it undervalues any opinion he then has.
