King Charles pay rise. Where from? 14:19 - Jul 24 with 1609 views | ReslovenSwan1 | https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna163379 The King is due to receive a $60m pay rise this year. This rise is mostly for increased profits at the Crown Estates and most of the profits are from off shore wind farms. A large percentage of offshore wind farms are in offshore Wales. We citizens have to put up with the turbines and pylons and the King pockets the profits. The Senedd asked for parity with Scotland on this I but it was declined. Many Welsh people do not want to control their assets and the money goes to the south east. I read that the King took 25% of offshore wind fees. I read somewhere ha had agreed a reduction to half that Offshore wind fes for England and Wales could be £400m with Wales perhaps 25% of that. [Post edited 24 Jul 18:44]

It shows how dumb civil servants are. They offered him 25% of fees for offshore wind farms s just as they were expanding massively. Unfit for their position s and pensions. The Senedd gets it both barrels while these elite London civil servants are left alone.

Oh yeah, nobody ever complains about Westminster! What a preposterous thing to say. Besides, Wales provides about 16% of UK offshore electricity, around 7.9TwH compared to the Uk as a whole of 49twH which is about 17% of the total electricity used in the UK.

I specifically reference Senior Civil servants not Westminster as a whole. Remember they are unelected.

This is not worth a thread in itself but it does highlight the fact that in relation to the monarchy we are living in the distant past. A couple of weeks ago on the news they were reporting on the annual population count of the King's swans. I have to emphasise here, THIS IS NOT A JOKE. There's a bloke called the King's Swans counter (or something stupidly similar). Every year one of his jobs is to conduct a count of the swans along a particular stretch of the Thames. Because, apparently, they belong to the King. This is not the 14th/15th/16th century. It's the 21st century. Why are we, the British people, so stupid that we put up with this absolute garbage.

I disagree. This issue is worth a thread. Profits of our natural resources are not being shared with Welsh people. 19th century. Coal copper iron 20 th Century. Water 21st Century Wind The king owns fees from Wind off Porthcawl. The Senedd dare not block new ones.

He certainly had sympathies and I don’t have any doubt he was thick enough to blab certain things to friends. Loose lips sink ships and all that but the notion he was an active spy is just conspiracy nonsense.

Based on your figures England and Wales produces 29twH 60% of the total for UK as roughly 40% is produced in Scotland which has taken over from Crown Estates. 8TwH/ 29TwH is 27% for Wales alone. Given Prince Charles has nabbed a £45m pay rise mostly from Wind farms we Welsh could have expected that to come to the Senedd. That would amount to £12.1m. Remember this is the increase not the total. In all Crown estate money as a increase came to Wales the increase alone wound be around £50m, Lets assume for argument the increase hase been 100%. (conservative). This means Wales might be due £100m per year. It is sad 'Forum Anglos' want to close Rhoose airport while the "establishment" are using wales as a resources cash cow.

They are the ones that have nothing to say about they king harvesting £100m at least from Welsh wind farms yet demanding Rhoose airport support stops and the place shut down. I am not impressed with them at all. 4000 Welsh jobs depend on it. Good jobs not the ones polluting our children like Tata Steelworks was. I do not comment on a the personality of other posters or call people pathetic. I keep my thoughts on personality to myself and do not look for mates for back up like you do.

I've got no mates on here, just people on a forum whom I respect and I don't need anyone to back me up, your personality on here tells me that you are well below my standards well below. The King brings millions into the Country through actually being the King, you don't respect anyone who are not Welsh, so I'm not surprised that you've got no respect for the Monarchy. Didn't Starmer personally deliver an invite from the King when discussing trade deals a couple of weeks ago. Don't underestimate the value of royalty when international negotiations take place, both business and sport. Would London have got the 2012 Olympics without the effort of Princess Anne, I very much doubt it.

It was a the dirtiest games ever. It was bigged up by the BBC and others and many event s were tainted by doping concerns by Russians mostly. £20 billion it cost. They built a special cable car for £55m which is still serving a handful of tourists a day. The Government spent another £270m putting a roof on the stadium so West Ham could be gifted it. Swansea beat the Hammers 4-1 at the Upton Park in the last but one game. Since the HMG subsided West Ham they have left Swansea behind unable to compete financially. No one was interested in Princess Anne. [Post edited 27 Jul 14:04]

I would say the Olympics were very enjoyable for the majority of the British public. To say that the IOC were not interested in what Princess Anne had to say as part of the BOA and IOC is just foolish and shows a complete lack of understanding facts as usual.

It was enjoyable but later tainted by doping findings from blood tests results that came out after. Information later emerged of Russian doping laboratories. https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1131284/2012-london-ita-reanalysis [Post edited 27 Jul 14:03]

The majority of Olympics are tainted and that is a fact London was no different. What has that to do with the thread and the Royal Family unless you of course are blaming the Queen for taking part in the opening ceremony and is guilty by association. Complete bollux by you again and trying to twist a thread to suit your agenda. A massive fail yet again.

London was the direst of the lot. 31 events trashed by cheats. That was a record at the time. The next games were worse. London Olympics was brought into the thread by some one else. "We would not have got the Olympics but for Prince Charles". It was good for London not Wales. £20 billion could have been better spent elsewhere. When put to a democratic vote the people always say no.

Actually is said it was Princess Anne who was working tirelessly with the IOC to get the games. The majority of the Royal Family work tirelessly for charity and promoting the UK throughout the world generated business opportunities for the government to tie up, ask Starmer and Trump. But let's not let facts get in the way of an agenda.

It must help them assuage the guilt they must feel from not even having to dress themselves They trot around , surrounded by security we pay for then deck off back to being waited on hand and foot It is simply immoral Hard working my arse Our mums had hard lives whilst their lot were swanning around in furs even in war time
