He hasn't had any takers all Summer so maybe he's had to readjust his expectations.

I'm not saying I wouldn't want him here, I would. With no transfer fee involved I would be happy with £15-18K a week with a decent bonus incentive and a two year deal. Possibly only wishful thinking on my part. Talk of £25K a week basic is far too much IMO.

Sheffield United did, they paid us £20M. You are just embarrassing yourself again with lack of knowledge.

One good season for a centre forward playing for a team that was expected to do well that season, his scoring record is mediocre at best.

Around 28% accurate. He has a pay wall which for me makes any account suspect. McBurnie was in Swansea yesterday.

26 goals in 146 games for them, not far off 1 goal every 6 games for a centre forward.

Nixon - McBurnie on 15:07 - Jul 27 with 2044 views | ReslovenSwan1 | One would hope he will not team up again with his old Swansea drinking buddies. At one time in Sheffield he was involved in incidents with the police. Hopefully he has matured a lot. He did well in La Liga last season in a poor team. Only 3-4 goals but a lot of assists in the stats. He is a very o good link up layer and good in the air where Swansea have been weak withe Vipotnik and Cullen seemingly weak in this area. Ronald an Eom were putting in a lot of crosses the forwards could not exploit.

He’s a big step up from either of them. Whether he’s the right move for us is another matter. I’m on the fence, but the closer we get to Boro’ the more I’m leaning towards yes.

Last season which in many ways is more relevant than his one good season years ago he scored 3 goals for Las Palmas in 34 games, I also noticed he has played 16 times for Scotland (although they seem to have given up on him now) and never scored a goal for them.

In some ways it’s more relevant in many it’s not. It was a lot more recent He was playing at a higher standard, for one of the weaker teams. You’re right in that I can’t tell how good he was now compared to when he was with us. What I can say with absolute certainty, is the McBurnie of 2018/19 is worlds apart from either of them. He’s the player Vipotnik is supposed to be. I’m on the fence, because I don’t know if he can get back to that level, but given Cullen, who isn’t a centre forward, has been in Sheehans strongest eleven the past two games, I’d probably roll the dice on him if we can’t come up with anyone better.

I agree with you, if we can't come up with anyone better, get him, its a position Swansea are weak in, I would not want Swansea to break the bank to get him, but if he is cheap get him. I would hope the Swans could come up with somebody better but if they can't they need a centre forward, just hope he can score, apart from one season (a good few years ago) that was with the Swans he is not prolific for a centre forward.

Hes calmed down since those days, hes settled down with a wife and a young un. As winston has stated, he will have reigned his wage expectations in, hes got alot of experience, he puts himself about, he does score a few, he would help out vip immensely plus he would bring passion to the squad and club. I for one would have him back in a flash but only if the money is right and with the way we are being run atm I cant see us paying over the odds for him.

The reason why he isn’t at a club now is more than obvious, if he wants a club now he has to be far more realistic. I’m pretty unsure what the fuss is all about with McBurnie but that’s a personal thing on his scoring record. Nothing about his character.

It’s desperation. If we still had Piroe here, no-one would care about McBurnie on a free. From my point of view, we need someone. If that’s McBurnie on a free, a loan from the PL or anything that’s an upgrade on our current strike force, I’m happy.

No matter what's been said previously we ARE desperate for a quality striker proven by the fact we cannot finish moves off Mc Burniie would at least fire up our crowd and encourage folk to get in And yes, we do need someone
