When Mark played for QPR I was lucky that after the games along with my dad we were invited into the players lounge while we waited for them to get changed. Hi mother used to sit on a big chair in the corner, she like Mark was a wonderful person who although I was only a child always spoke to me along with him.
Great memories, great man, great player. RIP Mark

A true footballer, honest, hard as they came, great winger, wonderful sense of humour and could change his shorts during a game, raising a few eyebrows and laughter from the Ellerslie Road crowd and the rest of the ground.
Will be sadly missed.
Enjoy the rest great man.
Best wishes.

Look forward to a lovely tribute before the PNE game.

I always prefer the silence rather than the clapping. Always heartened when the away fans follow suit.

I never saw Mark play but heard lots of good things about him from my Dad and older fans.
A real QPR legend.

I remember as a little lad being so upset when Mark joined Wolves and being delighted when he came back. It’s a cliche to say that they don’t make ‘em like that anymore but in ML’s case it was true. A man who played the game with a twinkle in his eye and a bit of mischief in his heart.
R.I.P and god bless.

Lovely man. Spoke to him at length at a POTY do many moons ago, 2007 maybe. We talked about that team he was involved in and it putting QPR on the map and into the giddy heights etc. Thought the club could recognize former players more to which was a familiar topic at the time and subsequently been addressed now very admirably. Thanks Mark.

There's a really nice obit for Mark in the Telegraph, for those of you who have a sub I guess:

‘I wasn’t a great footballer, but I dropped my shoulder, played the ball and ran past defenders. People got excited watching me’
