Hello, long-time listener first-time caller etc. Not here to boost Christian Nourry, although of course have very fond memories of Bobby Z in 89.
Planning to drive and park on the estate for first time in years for the Preston game. Can anyone please advise how much it costs and how long it takes to get out?
My youthful memories of parking here involve waiting forever for roads to re-open afterwards.

If its possible drop the person off and leave the car on the Wormholt estate over the road. There should be free parking there and it avoids the closed roads meaning you can get out earlier.

Better off parking the other side of the bridge road, some restrictions in place but just fine when you head towards the Goldhawk Road about half way down.

It used to cost me about £5 for 2hrs parking on the estate. I think it now is based on the engine type and size.
Below is what I think it is now
Parking charges for on-street pay and display bays

I might be wrong, but I think the club can help you with parking if you contact them in advance re mobility issues. At least they used to.

Sawley Road, Dunraven Road, Collingbourne Road, Adelaide Grove are all a 5 minute walk or less away depending on the individual of course . I park here for every match and depending what time you get there there is plenty of parking . Would advise getting there before 12.30pm (for 3pm KO for example ) to get the nearest spots though.

I park near little wormwood scrubs. It’s about a mile from the ground. Free after 1.30 on a Saturday.
Pavilion pub is quite close. Very handy. | | | |

When I have to drive I go for Conningham Road or around there, the other side of Uxbridge Road. Free on Saturdays unless you’re very close to Uxbridge Road and generally quicker to get away. | | | |

The Uxbridge Rd end of Devonport Rd has recently become residents only parking with no exemptions or ability to buy a ticket. It’s put more pressure on the nearby streets. It’s also one way with a camera monitoring where it turns into Thornfield. There is still parking available in Thornfield with RingGo.
The streets west of Bloemfontein Rd are a better bet. | | | |
