Pre match interview. Quote from BBW

“I want the supporters to be excited by what they see and we expect to be at the top of the table.”

I'm gonna tune in on Paramount+ over here and see how this new exciting Cardiff, having lost 13 players and signed none, see how they get on. See how that statement ages.

Btw their forum is in melt down. Seems they have had 3 offers and turned down all 3 cos Tan thinks the team can go straight back up without spending a dime. Worth a read.

I think they’ll start the season well. Whether they can sustain it is another issue.

I think they are well capable of a concerted relegation push

Agreed.

They've got a manager whose last job ended up in relegation, a reduced budget, a squad full of kids, and a striker they'll do a good job to have kept hold of by the time the window closes.

Far more likely to be looking down the table than up it barring a highly unusual turn of events.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

It’s for the good of welsh football by all accounts if they come back up. I always question that because they don’t contribute hardly at all to the first team squad.

Tan won’t sell up until the result of the court case with Nantes. Aren’t they claiming for something absolutely ludicrous like £200 million?

This chap doesn’t think so😂😂😂

“ We are the biggest club in this league, that's not even being arrogant it's a fact.

We don't belong here and the manager, players and fans are all hopefully thinking the same.

The mentality has to shift. I personally would not be happy with dropping any points against the first four teams, the squad we are left with is still good enough on paper to win these games.

Peterborough, Port Vale, Rotherham and Wimbledon they are small clubs we should only be playing against in a cup draw.

If we don't get maximum points I'm not going to hound out BBM but I don't think it's an unrealistic aim.”

Hence my unhealthy hatred of them .

Wouldn't it be so funny if they lost the first game.

Peterborough are a decent league one outfit, they’ve yo-yo’d and been in the hunt often enough. I hope Cardiff take them lightly.

There's an article on the BBC Sport web site looking at each League One club. Quite interesting to see the level of ambition each one has.
