Great stuff, Clive, thanks. I couldn't agree with you more about what happened to Coventry in that FA Cup semi final. If VAR ever cost us anything like that due to a 1mm whatever, not sure I would ever get over it.
Maybe that's why supporting QPR is quite handy; it's a bit like those top pro golfers who appear happy to never really be in contention in a major, as deep down they can never face the pressure and misery of doing a Van de Velde and collapsing under the weight of it. |  | | |

This is going to be a tough season isn't it? I don't think I can handle another season watching Madsen's disappearing act alongside a masterclass of passing the ball around the back before the keeper boots it up field to our non-existing strike force.
I also didn't get a good vibe from the fans forum. There's nothing inspiring about being a development club. Even if it's our reality, doesn't mean I have to like it.

The difficulty with making predictions while the transfer window is still open for a month, is that you can end up with egg on your face.
Hutchinson (Ipswich), Hamer (Sheff U) + half the Southampton and Leicester squads could be elsewhere by Sep 1st..in fact Ahmedhodzic has just gone from Sheff U to Feyenoord
But, overall, it just shows the difference between the haves and have nots. For that reason alone, its hard to argue against any major deviation from your assessment.

I've just done my predictions. I'm confident about most of the top half, but not necessarily the order in which they'll finish. I'd be surprised if I'm too far out on the bottom 5 - Wed, Oxford, Hull, PNE, Charlton.

I like the point you raise about Birmingham and Wrexham. It's farcical that we've had a set of rules foisted upon us all where, if you have owners who want to spend money to try to get promoted from the Championship, you are best served by getting relegated to League 1 in the first instance. I'm not sure why they needed to simulate every match of the season 10,000 times to put us in 16th. You could ask someone who's never seen a hand before after 27 pints and they'd say the same.
