| Two city rugby on 17:38 - Aug 19 by theloneranger | I believe the WOL story is a bit of bullsh1tting. I've now been told that the House of Luxury 55% holding - will only come into effect - IF the Scarlets are 1 of the 2 teams selected - not before. |
Not like WoL to bullshit.
| Two city rugby on 18:27 - Aug 19 with 2770 views | raynor94 | This sounds like the death knell of Welsh regional/ club rugby, also what will be the point of redeveloping St Helens and Scarlets investors might well walk away | |

The only way all four would agree to two is if grounds were shared and new entities were created. Can't see that happening. Three would lead to one club taking legal action. I think the best option will be four teams unequal funding and Cardiff Golden Blues obviously being the number one choice with those scabby Scarlets being the second choice. The Ospreys who are the only attempt at a region and by far the most successful over the last twenty years being underfunded. Along with those giants from Gwent. What a shite show!

Am I right in thinking that the Ospreys are the only ones who haven’t had a bail out? I’m discounting Covid period as all the regions were helped then. The WRU will do what they want….they never had any sort of respect for the fans when they rail roaded the formation of the regions in the first place. Yes the national team benefited but the club fanbase withered away over the years to where we are today. Rugby has become unimportant due to the lack of tribalism which the average fan enjoyed.

If the Dragons are not included in the restructure they will definitely take action. They recently signed the new agreement with more funding than the Ospreys and Scarlets.

Its certainly starting to look like East and West regions sharing grounds that's going to go down well🙈

East and West Wales are out of the equation. "The WRU says their ownership will be a temporary solution with the governing body looking to return Cardiff to private hands. It'll be Newport you watch and Cardiff will continue to be called Cardiff no doubt about it, its all political bollox. Litigation papers from Ospreys and Scarlets have probably been written ready to post utter shambles again by the WRU setting Welsh Rugby back even further, we're a tier one Rugby nation being run by clueless buffoons and yet again like everything else in Wales everything revolves around Cardiff.

Being Swansea born men , Ste, it’s easy to feel utter contempt for Cardiff anything When I watched the Whites, they were as arrogant as they were in football A shower of Kent’s

I think (and I have met a few) that it's the same as any walk of life. Some will be giant dickheads, some will be fantastic people and the rest will be somewhere in the middle.
| Two city rugby on 16:16 - Oct 7 with 625 views | Whiterockin | I have no idea of the Ospreys finances but found this regarding the Scarlets finances. It surprised me and no doubt Carmarthenshire council provided this information to the WRU last month during the consultancy period. I hope Swansea council did likewise for the Ospreys otherwise there is only one way this is going. It would be interesting to see a similar look into what the Ospreys pay into the Swansea City Councils coffers, although I wouldn't have thought that they directly employ over 100 staff, they don't own their own ground which means no day to day employees so are unable to earn from it to make it viable to employ people on a day to day basis. They probably include coaching staff down through the ages groups, there are quite a few throughout west/mid and partly north Wales. | | | |

The repercussions of possibly going down to two regions are starting to emerge and could cripple Welsh club rugby. The good players are not prepared to play in any proposed two region structure. They are saying if their current team no longer exists they will move outside Wales to play. There is also talk of players down through the regional age groups and academies looking to further their education away from Wales in English Universities and tie in with English clubs. Welsh club rugby could actually be much weaker if we went to two regions not stronger.

Agree , again I am very fearful for the game in Ealrs Think it was barrytown sean who said the game would be dead in ten years in Wales Sounded extreme but could be a prescient remark Sport is though about winning and though Wales has a lower player count than many countries I see the basics as being shocking Even flair less, talent lacking teams should scrummage and won online out ball Why? Because it’s a set piece and it’s when training and coaching ensures you have at least parity We have large forwards but they are physically weak and not competent to ensure they at least compete at set pieces When you don the set piece , then it’s down to the backs Right now though , we have no fly half of international quality , unthinkable just ten years ago We have no kicker yet Neil Jenkins , one of the greats, is around I love my rugby and winding Afrikaners up even more but now is the time to stay behind the sofa and shut the firk up

| Two city rugby on 14:29 - Oct 8 with 246 views | ReslovenSwan1 | I watched an English wing forward in his prime in the 1990s and apart from one or two Samoans never seen such a committed player. Crunching tackles and total bravery. We marvelled as his attitude. Sadly he has recently been diagnosed with a serious brain injury. All of us cheering him on sticks in my mind and make me dislike myself in retrospect. I do not want to name himbour of respect. | |

| Two city rugby on 15:26 - Oct 8 with 227 views | ReslovenSwan1 | The WRU if they cannot get a consensus will just have to let market forces make decisions for them. Cardiff should survive but one or two of Ospreys Scarlets and Newport will be allowed to go into administration. If Swansea people with a population of 350,000 cannot economically out muscle and outlast the Scarlets in a city of 50,000 then Swansea does not deserve a team. | |

Probably lose our best players to this new R360 alliance assuming that they are chosen of course, LRZ, Tomas Williams and Jack are probably nailed on, I'm struggling to think of any others Wainwright perhaps.
