Games completely lost the plot.

Nourry out

Def peno. Tarkowski leaned into the ball and used his arm. Stonewall.

Scooters, Tunes, Trainers and QPR.

I really hate these crappy handball penalties and other tiny infringements that chalk off perfectly good goals like Eze's freekick.

Referees have always been biased and petty, but VAR lets them do it on steroids these days.

I don't really like football in general now, it reminds me of rugby union where the referees determine games by which miniscule rules they decide to enforce or ignore each game. Boring old shte.

You could take this armless shirt design a step further

Being QPR, we'd go for the sĥit data-driven option and end up with a back four of comically-inflating animals like pufferfish, hooded seals and African tree frogs.

CEO Christian Nourry said: "Puffy was identified by targeted analysis and processed via data screen, video and live scouting screen, the deal-making reality and my perspective. His/her unique physiological profile exceeds our 90th percentile stochastic model algorithm. Beep. Whirr."

It probably is right but you can be sure the same incident in a few weeks will not be given

Same as that Palace goal at the weekend, by letter of law correct but mutiple examples of the same incident given as a goal last season and will be again as the season goes on.

Thats part of what makes VAR so pointless, you can't ever get consistency because it's human beings with different intereptations boith reffing the game and doing VAR

I wish they'd just scrap it

You are correct, but maybe the solution will be to have AI VAR.to get a consistent decision.

Before VAR: TV sports shows had hours of airtime contesting ref's decisions.

After VAR: TV sports shows have hours of airtime contesting VAR's decisions.

Fk all has changed.

I agree about the after match debates, but VAR has added drama for the TV viewers with its is it or isn't it a goal, offside or a red card etc.

I was originally in favour of it, but now wish they would scrap VAR because it hasn't improved the decision making.

The defender leans into it and it hits his arm

Looks a pen to me although it wouldn't have been given years ago

Hmm not sure that's the case. We had one v Hull in our first game back in the PL which was very similar, and also wasn't the one at Newcastle that Stejskal saved the same sort of incident with Alan McDonald?

It's not that they weren't given years ago, it's more that you can have two on the same day and one may be given while the other isn't.

For me it's a pen as he was clearly moving himself towards the ball.
