No membership or previous buying history necessary. Some great security arrangements there I see. If you're "rich", you can bypass all the security restrictions.

If you want to risk buying with no guarantee you will get in

One of those sites seems to actually have no tickets if you try and book and the other one has two.

I'm not sure how much of a concern it is.

Also are the usual tickets actually sold out now?

I've not opened the links, but are the for home or away and surely they can be traced?

Bizarrely, the game has not sold out. This is what it currently says on the website:

The criteria to purchase tickets will be all of the below:

- You are a paid 2025/26 Saints Member

- You have a previous purchase history between the 2020/21 season and 2024/25 seasons

Please note that any members who have not purchased any match tickets at any point during the previous five seasons will not be eligible to purchase Portsmouth match tickets.

Perhaps it's taking a while to sell out, as it's quite a strict criteria (as it should be).

They are for home supporters, but there are no checks so away fans could easily get a ticket. This happened last season and a lot, when rich tourists could easily get tickets in the home end using sites likes these.

So long as the ground is full, let the tourists in. In fact I would hasten to add, would take a Pompey tourist over some of our mob (AKA plebs) anyday

We will never live it down if we don’t sellout against them.

You’d have thought we’d have enough fans on the database to sell around the 27000 odd general admission tickets. Had the cooperate sold out yet?

Wonder if they’d allow season ticket holders to purchase extra tickets nearer the time?

I am wondering whether forcing people to buy a membership as well as attending a match this season, and buying the tickets for the Pompey game has put people off? How much would it cost for say 4 people in a family to buy 4 memberships, 4 tickets for another game and 4 tickets for the Pompey game? Just a thought really but you are talking hundreds of pounds.

The club could still ensure security by stating that anyone can buy a ticket as long as they are on the database. There wouldn't be any Pompey fans on the database. Insisting on a membership might mean that plenty of fans who just attend a few a season without a membership can't get in. The problem with allowing to season ticket holders to get extra tickets, is that the club can't be sure who they would give them to I suppose.

It is still members only at this point, when it goes on sale to those with a history of purchasing tickets on the database within the last few years it will sell out fast.

Interesting to note that there is at least one ticket in the away section, how they are going to get a ticket and travel on the coach down with ID needed is another question

Do you think they will be able to sell tickets to those without a membership, having already told the fanbase that they must have a membership and attend another game this season in order to get a ticket? Suddenly the rules change and you don't need a membership etc?

Its the process of going down the line, when the members who have been to one game have had their chance, then it will go to those on the data base who aren't currently members or season ticket holders, but who have bought tickets in the last few years.

There is an update today that I have just seen. Some fans saying there are tickets either side of the away fans. Thisnwould make sense, as it's the same for Stoke Saturday, with about 800 tickets left in the two sections next young to away fans.

It's just another example of why moving the away fans was so f*cking stupid.

Had the away fans been where they were before the first two areas to have sold out would've been the Itchen North and Northam, but because they've moved the away fans the similar areas are now the slowest to sell.

As per everything with that decision it's looking really dumb from the club and it's going to affect a lot of sales across the course of the season i'd guess

I agree with you, it was better when the away fans were in the Northam. But the club have done this for a reason to save them money on police costs and to prevent interference from the authorities. From the club's point of view, it's been a success. Very little interaction between our more lively fans and the away fans. They are at totally opposite ends. The Saints fans up for some "banter", have been "trapped" into staying in the Northam because that's the only place where you can stand, and these fans want to stand. It's also much cheaper in the Northam. These are the fans, who would love to be next to the away fans, but they have season tickets in the Northam or they want to stand and like the cheaper prices. The club have been very clever with this for their own needs.

So the result is that we are left with all the quieter fans (families, kids, women), who dont want to be next to the away fans, especially Pompey as they are worried. These remaining fans, the more introverted types perhaps, choose everywhere else around the ground but not next to the away fans. Then you are left with the real part timers being next to the away fans as they are the only tickets left. And what probably concerns people like you and I (correct me if I'm wrong on your part) but we will have a load of silent, part timers next to the Pompey lot and they will take the p!ss, when our non members, two or three games a season crew just sit there in silence in the expensive seats.

I make you right on nearly all of that. The only part that's a little wrong is that a group of maybe 15-20 of us have now moved to the chapel next to the away fans (all ex Itchen North) and it's actually surprisingly decent.

I do wonder how long we'll get away with it though as i'm fairly sure the club will clamp down on it.

I would gladly move next to the away fans but sadly for me, I do prefer to stand all game (have you been getting away with standing or enforced to sit)? Flip side, what was pretty good around my area of the Northam has been infiltrated by young Dinlo’s who prefer to film the ‘limbs’ rather than watch the bloödy game

Well, keep a low profile against Stoke, and don't give them anything to clamp down on just yet. Save all the aggro for the skates 😉

I have a feeling though for the Pompey game, there will be lines of police and seats between the two sets of fans. Hopefully more join you in the Chapel over time

To be fair we were stood the whole Wrexham without any bother, as was a fair few across the back rows of the chapel
