Is he really injured or about to be sold? Does anyone know the real truth about this. Just rumours about both situations.

Who knows, but possibly with all this transfer activity today, could be on his way maybe Leicester or Watford?

He’s just anxious to get away from Ben Williams

I don’t think anyone can blame him if he decided to.
Brought some of it on himself admittedly , but we just haven’t been able to field a side round him often enough that’s been good enough to help him, and as someone else said recently , his career is drifting at QPR .

Another post where I hope I’m wrong . But in my opinion he’s earned the chance to play his football away from this circus .

Caveat to this is I did hear on Wednesday he had picked up an injury.

I think the speed with Saito happened coinciding with rumours of Chair's injury last week has me fearing the worst. Silence is deafening

I can see one or two of our big names going. They won't buy all those players (some of them costing significant fees and hefty wages) without a couple of big earners going out of the door. I can see any of Chair, Field and Smyth going. Think their time at QPR is coming to an end. Would also be good if we could get Madsen off the books, though I can't see that happening.

Can’t see any decent Championship team going for Chair based on his form and fitness for the last few seasons, not unless we want to sell him cheaply.
And of course he’s injured anyhow.

He was a massive miss vs Coventry for his ball retention skills and ability to get us up the pitch, and I hope to the football gods he's (i) not (seriously) injured or (ii) off. For my money, we need him, Saito, and another hard-running, box-to-box, no 8. for sure.

Leicester’s hands are a bit tied financially aren’t they otherwise this is a big possibility.

Both praised each other last season.

If you recall Illias wasn't available at the beginning of last season with a back injury and many on here didn't believe the official line and thought something else was going on.

Me included!

With Hayden now back in the building. However long it takes him to be match fit is another matter. I think thst could free Varane up a bit. I don't think he can be a progressive passing 8 but a box to box 8. He has shown he has the athleticism

It was .
He was doing community service in Belgium 🤣

Playing alongside Hayden can only improve Varane's game.

Hoping we don't lose him but Leicester look as if they will sell El Khannouss before the transfer deadline to either Palace or Spurs for £30 million plus that may give them a budget.

Leicester just sold James Justin to Leeds for 10 million plus 20 million in from West Ham for their keeper ward, coady and Varys wages gone but who knows what financial mess they are in

If we sell Chair and Field and keep the rest of this squad we're getting relegated with many games to spare

Personally, I would def. want to keep Chair, but the fact he recently signed a new contract - wtih the idnustrial perversity unique to football - makes the picture murkier when it comes to the club's intentions. If a decent offer came in for Field, I'd probably consider it.

He did say in his new contract piece that he signed because he believes in the project and if he where to be sold then the club who gave him his big chance will get financially rewarded

He’s definitely injured. Heard from various people on Saturday he did his hamstring in training…another one! Was told he’s out for 8 weeks although that might not be true. Either way it’s definitely his hamstring. Another one for the Ben Williams treatment room. God knows what our players are doing but this is becoming the usual injury for us.

He’s given me no reason to doubt him, but hamstring injuries are the ones people cite when they do want to get out of something.
