Swansea City in talks 11:08 - Aug 26 with 27016 viewsKeithHaynes

As from this morning talks between the Swans and two players, one believed to be a loan are underway to bring them in before the end of the window. Monday (7pm) One is cited as a goalscorer and of interest for months due to the clubs progression planning. The other a defender. The location of one of them is believed to be mainland Europe.

In an ideal world the club want three in.

He scores goals then but at the wrong times

That’s about the measure of it according to the Celtic guy.

More worryingly, he says he’s not good at holding up the ball which is something I’d hope a new striker would have. Where’s Bony these days😁?

I'm taking his comments with a very small pitch of salt 😉

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game
Poll: Happy to see Martin go

I really don’t know. The guy maybe saying it as it is but sometimes players react differently at different clubs. Hope we can get the best out of him. He must have something about him given his previous and to an extent current transfer value.

If Celtic thought he was rubbish they wouldn't have paid £9M for him. Possibly the problem is Celtic and not the player, is it the reason he clearly wants to move on?

Genuine question. What's he done to "kick off"?

Sorry I don't know, I was just using Max'x previous post to mine to respond to .

Brendan only has a year left on his contract I think he's agitating to get away going by his comments on the transfer window

If the board say Idah is going he's going

That's OK. I've seen it mentioned a few times but can't find anything regarding him "kicking off".

Celtic fans are a weird bunch at times. People jumping on the label of ‘he’s shit’ haven’t got their own mind to make decisions from what they know, not what others say.

I’ve been on both Celtic and Norwich forums, and without doubt the overwhelming views on Idah are not at all encouraging.
Please, please, yet not another Kukharevich, Yates, Vipotnik ie a total waste of of money

Rightly or wrongly I place much store in what fans think of their players. At the moment, the criticisms almost totally outweigh the positives regards Idah. As I said though, some players find a club that suits them and they end up fulfilling their potential with more consistency. That’s what I will hope for.

When it comes to players signing we don’t really know what we are getting until we’ve seen them play in our team ,as you say , some players find a team that plays a way that suits their game and look great others spend their whole careers trying to find one .players from Europe can take time to acclimatise to the pace and intensity of the championship and become fans favourites, sadly some struggle . There are fans who don’t want players from lower leagues saying they can’t make the step up but Galbraith has been a real find for us .
Point is every club is looking for the same thing ,a player who turns heads , problem is whoever a team sign , it’s always a risk unless they are worldies and the danger is,if they do become successful they end up being sold to bigger clubs and the cycle starts again.
This is the lot of the football fan
