Swansea City in talks 11:08 - Aug 26 with 26986 views | KeithHaynes | As from this morning talks between the Swans and two players, one believed to be a loan are underway to bring them in before the end of the window. Monday (7pm) One is cited as a goalscorer and of interest for months due to the clubs progression planning. The other a defender. The location of one of them is believed to be mainland Europe. In an ideal world the club want three in.

Swansea City in talks on 19:43 - Aug 29 by pete | hope to goodness this does not put us in a position where we leave it too late and it all falls through or another team comes in and scuppers the deal? what should the club be doing after all Rogers looking after celtic so we must look after ourselves? know it wont happen but i think we should give them a deadline after looking at the next one on the list and if they wont let him come by said deadline move on as we have had the striker issue drag on for what seems like months and now being held up untill the selling club can sort them selves out, why agree to the move and then hold it up they should have had it sorted before we did all the work. |
Celtic don’t want a pissed off player who has had the rug pulled from beneath him in their squad. It will be sorted out. However, we did state yesterday that Celtic have form for this.

With vipotnik looking likely to leave are we looking at 2 strikers coming in or we banking on idah happening to replace?

Swansea City in talks on 20:40 - Aug 29 with 2938 views | Landore_Jack | Only Swans Zan Vipotnik could reportedly be on the way out of Swansea City. It’s thought that Slovakian outfit Slovan Bratislava are the most likely destination. [Nikeligmarkt (X)]

Genuine question. Do you know that or is that your prediction?

Do we think it's 1 in 1 out? Football is mad, this time last week I wanted VP gone. Now that he has scored 2 good goals I want him stay. Fickle much?? 🤣🤣🤣

No inside information, just my opinion. Maybe I should have worded it like that. I don’t rate him and I don’t think Sheehan does, but I’d be really surprised if we were happy with one natural centre forward and only Cullen and Wales as backups. A lot can happen on deadline day though. Quite plausible we bring Isah in on a permanent and loan a PL prospect.

“I don’t rate him “ - you’ve made that very clear. He would still have been a good backup if we’d signed Idah.

He doesn't want to be the backup though that's why he apparently kicked off, he obviously knows that is probably his future here if Idah comes in so he wants to go.

Yes, I’ve said that plenty of times. Check back. Be more than happy with him as a backup. I wouldn’t be letting him go unless two come in either. Way too many holes in his game for him to be the main man at this point. Coming on for 20 minutes and playing in the Carabou cup, absolutely fine.

Kicking off because he knows the club are signing or trying to sign one if not two strikers, I expect.

Swansea City in talks on 11:10 - Aug 30 with 763 views | union_jack | I C+P this from Phil’s site. Celtic fan coming in peace here re Idah. Honestly, one of the worst ‘first team’ strikers in my lifetime and im really hoping you guys get the deal done. He may have scored 20 goals last season - some stats on that: • 6 of those goals came when Celtic was already at least 3 goals up • 11 came when Celtic was at least 2 goals up • He only gave Celtic the lead 3 times last season: vs Falkirk, Motherwell away and Hibs at home (after the league splits for the final 5 fixtures) • He never gave Celtic a 1-0 lead • Only score Celtic’s first goal twice (vs Villa (dead rubber) and Rangers) • Only scored 3 times before 40th min (Motherwell away, Villa x2). His hold up play is abysmal, I’ve never seen someone so unable to take a first touch. If you play with space in behind the opponents backline, he’s probably fine. He was a much maligned figure last season but I think his preseason and the first couple of league games has cemented the supports opinion on him, and it didn’t help with Rodgers played politics and hooked him at HT - something we’ve noticed is he only uses a HT sub to either control a narrative or make a point - in our champions league playoff tie last week. against a team that parks the bus, he just doesn’t move, is static and easy to defend against. I’ve plenty of ‘every Idah touch’ in x game if you want me to fire it up, let me know. All the best for the season ahead anyway lads. Cheers.

Swansea City in talks on 11:12 - Aug 30 with 729 views | wwcigne | All players want to be playing and not on the bench , I’d rather have a player complain about not playing than have one who’s happy to just sit on the bench and pick up their wages , that said there is a correct way to complain. Like Vipotnik and he is a tryer but have to agree he has struggled a bit .
