I genuinely believe it would be better to be away to a lower league club but home to a PL club. The pressure playing lesser sides at home seems to affect us more than most as Wycombe, Crawley and Plymouth can attest. |  |

The way the draw was made the euro teams were effectively seeded and kept apart. So City could not draw Liverpool etc.

It's because the European Cups are played over two weeks. Teams in the Champions league play in the week commencing 15th September, while the Europa Cup is the week commencing 22nd September. So, for example, if Liverpool had drawn Nottingham Forest, they wouldn't have been able to play that fixture and their European game. Hence the 8 teams in Europe had to be kept apart. It is the fault of EUFA getting greedy, rather than the Caraboa Cup. | | | |
