Sheffield Wednesday v Swansea City : Match day thread 15:39 - Aug 27 with 11570 views | ModeratorC | An away trip for the second time this season takes the Jack Army to Sheffield, and in particular the Owls this Saturday with a 3pm Kick Off. The Owls can be described as having an underwhelming start with lacklustre league form but some resilience in cup games. They are in the third round of the League Cup. Severe financial woes, structural issues, ownership controversy, but possible takeover / investment in progress via an ex Crystal Palace owner. https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/swanseacity/news/64708/friday-evening-low https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/swanseacity/news/64715/team-news-sheffiel #Owls #Swans #eflchampionship #EFL #LIVE #TransferNews ⚽️ The Owls Opening fixtures: • Leicester City (A) — Lost 2–1 • Stoke City (H) — Lost 3–0 • Wrexham (A) — Drew 2–2 with goals from Bannan and Cadamarteri • In the EFL (Carabao) Cup: • Bolton (A) — Drew 3–3 • Leeds United (H) — Drew 0–0 before winning on penalties To follow.

Would like to see Widell or Cullen along with Franco & Stamenic if Galbraith plays RB. Inoussa & Ronald out wide. Zip on top. Of course, Burgess and Cabango as CB's, and Tymon at LB. Vig in goal.

Back to the 2-7-1 formation. Cabango and Burgess at the back, Galbraith, Tymon, Ronald and Inoussa on the wings, Franco, Stamenic and Widell in midfield, Zipi up front on his own. I wonder why we're not scoring any goals??? Sarcasm is the highest form of wit!

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

If Galbraith plays RB isn't that like a round peg in square hole?

Wouldn't want to see Galbraith as RB, Key just needs to learn to play the first time ball more often, all be it to the winger or to a midfielder each having good movement allowing balls to feet or into the space in behind opposition player. As has been said Galbraith, Franco and Stamenic in the midfield if fit enough for the start. We know the home team will press up on us so want Inoussa right wing and Ronald on the left but playing a little more centrally to feed off the centre forward and then being able to go to the wings to turn the opposition fullbacks. Think that forward should be Vipotnik although don't think he will win enough aerially battles. The width would be given by our fullbacks pressing out wide on the opposition winger allowing the midfield trio to cover in behind and in front the centre back if it becomes a scrappy aerial game while with midfielder and wingers filling the midfield to stop progress there which we have seen in a number of game this season. While trying to hold our wingers out so wide the middle of the park becomes the opposition avenue against us while our fullbacks tuck in leaving the wingers free to let the avenue through the middle to pull our players all over the shop. We then have Widell, Eom and Malcouye while also having Cullen and Wales. There is a part if me wanting see Wales starting.

I would imagine so Martyn. After all, it wouldn’t be SwansTV without some cock up would it.😁 [Post edited 30 Aug 13:14]

Your damn right there. All I will need then is for the coverage to start 30 minutes into the game and spend the rest of the game buffering

Wouldn't necessarily call our bench strong just yet, a couple of experienced Championship players not quite setting the division on fire with a couple of loanees from the Premier league who need to settle in and some young players who need to find their feet. Hope they all can rise to the occasion to prove their worth.

Stronger than it has been, it's all relative. A couple of potential game changers in there.
