Give them a call.
I recommend the rissoles. They have made ordinary players into superstars at the liberty.
Franck Tabanou ate 5 pies a day , he should have ate rissoles.

Rossis rissoles back in the day when they were based in The Hafod their chippie then were a place to travel to . queues onto the road on occasions yet still served piping hot food after the rush .

Macaris on Singleton St . corner was a match day must visit before or after game call .

Just come across Ron Evans pies bakery in Taibach , called in the other day and wow .

Reasonable prices and the taste is so as it used to taste like in pies back then .

Just on distance there is Monni's Fish Bar at 98 Brynymor Road, SA1 4JG, This has seating and I think closes at about 10.00pm. I'd say okay rather than outstanding.

Probably too late now, but the chippy just down from the Ship Inn is pretty good. You’ll have to sit on a bench outside though

Try Tanygroes bakery a few streets back from Ron Evans, far better in my opinion

Choice of Hafod's Rossi chippy or St Joseph's shipped in pre-cooked dinners I knew what my choice was.

Small round mince pies as a kid from Macpherson Caereithin, later magic Pies from Saunders bakery Landore and now Jersey bakery Briton Ferry.

We were also very lucky to numerous quality Chippys near various park pitches in Swansea to sate the hunger after games of junior footie.

I was thinking of distance from the marina as mentioned in the OP, and Monni's at the near end of Bryn-y-mor Road would be walkable. A bit further on there us a traditional chippy in Brynmill and two in Sketty, but as far as I can remember they don't have many if any seats. Isn't Roma in Townhill? There are many others if you are willing to drive. A rival of Rossi's near the stadium is Hiks on Llangyfelach Road, where there is also seating. Used to go there before games but they reduced portion size, leading me to go back to Rossi's.

Rossi’s isn’t what it was.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Nowhere near the standard of the old Rossi's they went all commercial and selling quantity and forgot about the quality.

Read reviews of Hiks being the best chip shop in the area . Wales on Line always claims they are in the Top 10 chippies in Wales , never been there but might try as a one off visit .

They also big up Shillingford as a must go visit too .

Over a tenner for fish and chips is a luxury for many these days , a family treat and a bill North of £ 50 , throw in a couple of overpriced soft drinks and the bill gets worse .

Batter scratching rescued from the chip oil and added as a treat was the way best side dish ever . and always free .

Back in ancient history when I was an impoverished urchin, our local fish and chip shop used to give local lads like me "gribbles" free, even if we bought nothing.

😂😂 yeah, of course.

Covellis on Newton Rd was the best imo. I wear black every day to this day as a mark of respect to its closure.

Chips superb, Chicken with lovely crispy skin. And the ‘bits’ from the fish batter with a bit of salt and loads of vinegar separately wrapped. Run by a proper, lovely Italian family who knew what I wanted as soon as they saw me.

My other favourite was Nautillus in West Hampstead. My bus stopped right outside and I lived around the corner. I was a fat b@stard in those days for some reason. Too far to drive nowadays but I’ve been tempted😁

The Windsor rissoles were the best, battered not breadcrumbed.

Love lover bread and cockles, but the latter must be cold with lots of vinegar.

I like crawl too with a healthy amount of Tabasco sauce.

I like Swansea fish and chips, but going further afield I've had good experiences in the West Country (in places like Brixham) and also the east coast of Scotland. When I lived in Dundee I often used to consume a really delicious haddock portion from the Silvery Tay fish bar. This was presented in a different style from cod here - quite thin and crispy. I left the fried mars bars alone though.

Jonnies on Newton rd just up from the now M&S was great back in the day, you would have been had pushed to get a better rissole & chips anywhere else

There's Jonnies down the bottom of the side road on the left just above where the original Jonnies was.

And I’m sticking by the Windsor rissoles though Macaris were good too. All gone now🙁

Edit: and I forgot 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
