Celtic fans aren't well known for their intelligence, astuteness or fondness for daily showers so I'd tend to take most of their opinions with a pinch of salt in most cases anyway.

Can't pretend that I know much about this lad, but his previous track record is much more significant than Kone's and quite a few of ours would have been ecstatic if we'd shelled out £5m+ on him. In reality I'd expect the guaranteed fees to ultimately work out around the same level. £3m ish with add ons.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I’ve learnt to temper my expectations of strikers after we signed Yates, Kukharevych and Vipotnik in succession.

If it’s Idah or anyone else, I’m just going have an open mind and hope he bucks the trend. We were very good at this until recently.

well lets hope things are sorted quickly negating any other club, I am interested to know who the other 2 people the club is talking to ( no names but position wise) for SHOULD another club come in and scupper yet another deal for a target of ours who do we turn to?
I am hoping that should the Ideah deal go through it will be the catalist that not only improves our top half finish chances but is the spark to ignite Vip and the 2 of them , work with one another to not only improve the teams position but improve each other

The last bit…

I do think he would improve out of the firing line and training with another centre forward every day.

If we get Idah.
When was the last time we spent this much in a season?
Premier league days?

Morning
Some of the fees “ undisclosed” but we have spent
It remains to see if we have made good purchases
Personally , I believe Stemonic and Galbraith will prove to be stella acquisitions
We will see

And even then there were sales to offset this is mostly just spend had no fees for any of our players.

Poll: Should we join the Welsh cup next season

I see those two myself plus Burgess.
Our signings of previous seasons tended to be perhaps one good purchase in 3 or 4.
Let's hope that scale improves.

Have we actually spent some of the fees quoted or have we committed to the payment over the term of the players contracts. Plus they seem to be heavily incentive based, if they/we are not successful they don't actually get much of the money. It doesn't matter how wealthy our owners are we still need to keep within PSR, our current phurchace structure is much more savvy and profesional than under Kaplan and Levien.

Every transfer is paid in instalments and the add ons as reported this morning are all listed. Agents fees are also now spread across the contractual agreement.

They’ve all looked good to me to be honest. Galbraith and Burgess slotted straight in. Stamenic had a hell of a debut, but not yet seen enough of him. Yalcouye is going to be an absolute nuisance in midfield, but makes mistakes (as you’d expect from a 19 year old).

Widdell and Inoussa both look a bit rusty/not got used to the pace and intensity yet, but both look obviously talented and I think will reshape our attack.

Casey looks calm and assured, will be great cover.

Not seen enough of Wales yet and none of Santos.

Despite me refusing to get my hopes up on the striker based on the last two seasons, that does point towards the recruitment team getting it right

Keith's and Liam's reporting spot on! Just saw that Rogers is blocking Idah's move to Swans!

It's just Rogers pressurising his board to get Kasper Dolberg over the line.

Celtic are in the process of signing Dolberg from Anderlecht, Idah has had a medical by all accounts can still see Idah being here by the close of the window

From Liam's & Keith's article: So, what can stop Idah signing for the Swans ? There are a few factors. Celtic are somewhat well known for stalling during their transfer discussions

Pretty good reporting, imo!

All he’s gone and done is put Kaspar Dolberg’s club in the driving seat now as they realise Celtic will be more desperate to sign him. Not a clever strategy that I wouldn’t have thought.
