I think that one has been put to bed.

Though I did fear the worst when Kelman came on at 1-1. Come on, you all did!

Poll: How is Nourry cooking so far ? 🤣

It's still early days but...effectively swapping Kelman on a one year contract for Kone on a long-term contract is looking like a great deal.

Poll: Will we stay up?

One of the Charlton fans on the way out: Any chance of us getting a refund on Kellman?

Good natutred banter today i thought. Fair play to Kelman he was trying not to laugh when getting serenaded by the loft when he was in a defensive wall down that end.

As for if he is any good ?.. will be hard in that charlton team, do not have the quality to create much. Good reminder there is a so much drek in this league.

Charlton mate messaged me after the game saying "you definitely got the better league 1 striker". Early days and Kelman could still have a good season, but he isn't going to suddenly match Kone's physicality that's for sure.

On the transfer fees I think we basically got Kone AND Burrell for the cost of a Kelman.

On today's evidence there's no contest.

I don’t want to get too excited too soon or heap pressure on the lad but after many, many, many false dawns Kone looks like the real deal to me from the early signs. Whisper it quietly but have we finally got an effing striker?

The way some Charlton fans acted after Macauley Bonne was sold to us, no, no your can't have a refund.

That's a good observation.

This is hypothetical, but Kelman might do better in a stronger side than Charlton, which made more chances for him to put away.

But if you're playing up front for a side like QPR or Charlton, you need a bit of that physicality (or maybe Burrell's pace) to make chances for yourself.

Think Kelman had been here since 2020 and I’d never witnessed a single minute where I thought he might make it as a Championship striker yet, as a supporter and after his success at Orient, there’s always that nagging doubt to hang in there.

Fair play to Nourry for biting the bullet and getting 3 mill for him and then spending a fraction of it on Kone.

If the published transfer fees and add ons for Kelman and Kone are correct, they are identical at £5m each. The sell on clauses in their contracts are 20% and 22.5% respectively.

I think Kelman was sold to avoid having a Kolli, Kone, Kelman strike force.

The grass is always greener.

Go on PS, it’s ok to get a bit excited, it does wonders for one’s mood. Just don’t admit it to anyone 😉

Different type of players.
But in the Champ most teams need a number 9. We dont have prem midfielders and wingers so, we need a number 9.

We have Frey but hes always injured and now we have Kone. Kelmen would be no good to us as hes cannot play that role and now Charlton are seeing it to, play Leaburn instead of him.

We really rinsed them on that one. We have sold Dykes, Armstrong and Kelmen and brought in Celar, Kone and Burrel to replace them. Two out of three ain't bad. And we might even replace Celar next season.

zzzzzzzzzz

Published where? Surely these are estimated rather than actual.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

I can't remember where I picked them up. Could have been WLS, BBC, X, clickbait or newspaper sites. But I do remember there were numerous sources reporting similar figures so think they should be there or thereabouts.

Pleased we let Kelman go, as Kone is a real upgrade, physical and can play. We could well have a diamond in Mr Kone. I also like Burrell he is fast and a good presser. Think him and Mr Kone are going to cause defences a lot of problems this season.
