There’s a book I’m reading at the moment called “Season” which is about life and the highs and lows of supporting a football team throughout a single campaign. Instead of using player’s names the author George Harrison (not that one) calls them by nationality, the Argentinian, the Norwegian, the Dutchman, etc. It‘s a fairly sedate easy going read so far.

He tried twice on Saturday and one was infuriating. A nice bit of play by us and the ball comes out to him about 30 yards out and it was a perfect angle to swing in a cross, but he shoots and spaffs it.

There was a weird 2/3 minute spell just after he came on where we suddenly decided to start shooting. Granted a couple were his wayward howitzers, but if anything it makes me like him more.
