Yeh but no but, in the year of, I made the decision to, it was a mistake, but yes but no. Cummings eat your heart out. Human beings will never change will they left or right. Didn't she make a huge thing about tax avoidance and tax dodgers before the election?
As for Starmer and his ever-changing views, I wouldn't expect anything else from him.
Then arrest those who did the criminal damage. Not 80 year olds peacefully holding up a bit of cardboard. They are just against children being starved to death. What's wrong with that?
Brize is supposed to be a secure aerodrome and on the occasions when I have visited I have had to clear security with letters from my company, photo ID and a booked appointment.
£7 milion is clearly a fictitious figure as the paint would be easily removed and would do little harm to the gas turbines which would just need the inlet fans wiping down with thinners. Anything getting further in, which will only be droplets, will burn off on start-up.
This "Terrorist organisation" is so called only because they have embarrassed the people in power by showing how lax the security actually is.
The British people seem to support it in large numbers because they believe that His Majesty's Government is supporting what they see as genocide and this they do not agree with.

This sums up "Little Britain" quite nicely
Why is everything in the UK broken? The main answer is demographics, basically there are too many old fvckers, like most of the people on this board. The problem is ourselves.
The Tories did not gut NHS funding, they just didn't increase it as dramatically as the Blair government did. See here for example:
That BBC article shows the NHS as a % of all public services budget rising from about 10% in the 1950s to 30% in 2018. The situation has got worse since that was published. In 2024 it was 43%. This equates to over 20% of all government spending. That doesn't include all the extra that has to be spent on social care and pensions for all the older people. All this extra spending is due to the increasing % of older people.
That is the main reason why there is so little to spend on anything else e.g. police. So if we want to answer the question of why is everything in the UK broken, there is one main answer, it's demographics. That doesn't provide a simplistic answer for someone to blame. Those saying "it's the Tories" and "it's immigrants" are both wrong. But that's the truth and unfortunately it will only get worse.

I didn't blame pensioners and people with nothing, but perhaps in your simplistic way of looking at things I did.
There's nothing wrong with me, but if you can't handle facts and a logical statement then I'd say there is something wrong with you. Try reading my comment again and if you dispute the facts then let me know.

When I was a trainee on £19 a week, I paid tax at 33%. Now 20%
Gas, electricity, water etc. were nationalised and returned a sum to the public purse to cover future investment. That money is in the pockets of shareholders.
A house was typically 3 times a working man's average salary. Now it is ten times, profiting only the banks.
That is why there isn't enough money to fund a viable state.
Post war Britain was near bankruptcy but taxes built houses and hospitals that if not sold to buy Tory votes would cover their costs many times over and the country was awash with refugees.

Sadly you can see how simplistic his views are as all he ever does is post memes, talk about magic beans and avoid very real issues and facts. Then, to make it worse, he insults people who rightly disagree with some of what he says. This though is the left in a nutshell.

4-pages in and, amazingly, the forum's resident socialist hasn't called anyone 'Noddy'.
That's a first.

You are at least partly correct Ifonly.
In my opinion we need also to consider two other events, the first sudden and the latter long term:-
1. The Global Financial crash of 2008 when debt was sold by ever more greedy banks and other financial institutions ( yes, it is possible to sell debt ) to people who obviously couldn’t afford it.
2. The long term decline in birth rates in the Western World, an example of which are the UK figures for 2024 which show a fertility rate of 1.41 per female, the lowest ever recorded. The accepted figure required to maintain even a stable population being 2.1.
The result of 1. is that people are unhappy as unlike the period 1945 to 2008 their living standards are perceived as not improving year on year.
The result of 2. is an increasing reliance on immigration to service the requirements ( Hospitals and Social Care in particular ) of older people.
Having said the above I’m a little puzzled as to why you refer to people such as myself as an older fvcker as it’s not as though we had any control over the examples I suggest is it ?
Labour- pretend to do the right thing but end up doing nothing. Tories - evil looking after the rich man Lib Dem - limp wristed tree huggers Reform- racist cxnts

2% of the population own nearly 90% of all the wealth and you think the people with nothing are the problem, would you like to buy some magic beans?
Stats vary considerably...
The UK has lower wealth inequality than Germany, France, Spain, and Italy, with the top 10% owning a smaller share of wealth in the UK (53.3%) compared to these nations.

I referred to myself as on old fvcker too. That's what we are unfortunately.
Neither you or I are to blame for these problems, but we are the explanation. That may be too subtle a distinction for some, but that is the truth. We did not choose when we were born, but the fact that our age cohort has become an increasing % of the population is the reason why we have such tight public finances. That, in turn, is the biggest single cause of our problems as a country from the NHS, to a lack of policing, to failing infrastructure, to overly high taxes, to jitters in government debt markets etc. etc.
p.s. It's true that living standards in the UK have not improved as fast as they did post WWII, but that is only in part because of the financial crash of 2008 (GFC). The GFC was a worldwide event, but not every country has suffered slow growth in living standards since then. For example, the USA was the epicentre of the GFC and the crash there was bigger than in the UK, but they have since pulled miles ahead in living standards and they continue to pull away. So, while it was possible to argue that the GFC was a part of the problem in 2010, it is no longer possible to do so in 2025.

Yet, there is plenty of money to deploy a thousand officers to arrest 90 year olds holding up a bit of cardboard, stating their disgust at children being starved to death.
If your house gets robbed, sorry no resources available. Drugs killing people on the streets of London, sorry no resources available. They're being used to get dangerous 90 year old pensioners off the streets and then the courts cases too. We are busy they say.

It's a celebration of the UK streets being a much safer place. Have a look at these threats to society being banged up. At least our streets are being made safer by this government.

It always amazes me that there are people that believe the sick, the poor, the marginalised and immigrants are the root of all their problems just because they have been told that by the people in power who refuse to fix them.
