Their armed forces have doubled in size over the last ten years with ambitions of becoming the largest NATO ground force outside the US. They're well trained and well equipped and currently spend 4% of GDP on Defence.
Antagonising them further would be a very stupid thing for the Russians to do. If the traditional Western powers like the UK, France and Germany continue to decline, Poland could easily become Europe's dominant force. |  |
