For me the key phrase. "However, it is vital that everyone at the club is aligned with our shared strategy".

Most of us old heads will probably view the prospect of Dimi having even more power with some trepidation, but this is our life now.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

I was thinking that last night and I can imagine he has a massive grin on his face now - well done to him especially if he can bring quality in.

I tend to agree that these "middle management" appointments will be more fluid with our ownership structure.

We have just had in my opinion the best window in years with Montague involved. Future windows will be judged on this one. Its all well and good sourcing players but you have to get them over the line, this has been a major problem in the past how many times has it been said we tried to sign players and failed Coleman certainly couldn't get players over the line and I doubt Gorringe will.

From Keith he is sunning himself on a warm Spanish coast - We will always put our hands up when we report something not accurate or in this case off the mark. Good fringe it seems saved the day, and he deserves congratulations. But when he oversee’s problems like tickets and merch which go wrong then he gets the flack. As much as we do.

I do not doubt the information Keith has supplied but I think there is more to come out with this situation. Personally I have previously had a conversation with Montague who seemed knowledgeable and genuine with a clear vision of what was needed at the club. I also had a conversation with Gorringe who I found very arrogant and abrupt. Adam Worth to the best of my knowledge I have never met, but have had correspondence with on here, the least said the better. From my experience of the three I can fully understand the first falling out with the other two. Time will tell if the last window is the way we will proceed in the future or a flash in the pan, I certainly hope it is the former.

Worrying. I live in Bristol and am friendly with some pretty knowledgable Rovers fans who have told me that this sounds very much like Gorringe's character. When I praised him for his role in this transfer window.....they replied - "sit tight and watch; he gets bored!" and "he's a snake." Of course Rovers are in a mess period and no one was entirely blaming TG but....

I just wondering if a suspension came before the final dismissal and he went away during this period. You can spin truth several ways.

Perhaps. But then you have to wonder why he'd get suspended as unlikely to be purely down to performance, if so. The way Employment Law is these days......

It's not unusual for someone to be asked to stay away while a decision is being made.

I guess we'll find out. I'm holding onto judgement about how good the window was until they've all had a bit more time to settle in. It's just as premature to praise as it is to castigate for me at the moment. Edit: Reading the other site and the links to stuff that Montague said on his way out (Linkedin I believe) I don't think I was too far off the mark with some of the reasons why he's off given who got named for thanks and who didn't.
