Two points down the drain today and three at Middlesbrough- I’m so gutted today . Had Yalcouye and Inoussa stayed on I reckon it could have ended 3 or 4-1 .

I sincerely hope this isn’t the shape of things to come - Carvahal cowardice

Good article that.

Got to take Liam to task on one thing though. How on earth did the ref get 5? I wouldn’t have given him more than 2. Awful performance but in the grand scheme of things he didn’t influence the game to such an extent where he was to blame for the draw. That was down to us entirely.

He ignored a two footed tackle on Franco which was a blatent red card, far worse than that got Darling sent off versus Sheffield Utd last season,he also ignored a foul on Ronald had we had the deseeved free kick Hull would not have been in our half and had the opportunity to set up the equaliser.
That said Sheenan git his tactics wrong in sitting back rather than going for the third.
Lets hope he learns from his mistakes today

For me today also demonstrated that despite everything that has been said about him, there's still a place in this squad for Jay Fulton.

When the game descends into the kind of physical scrap it became then he's a much, much better option off the bench to shore up the midfield than Cullen.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I really don’t think it’s a bad day for Alan Sheehan.
Let’s look at the stats over the last 10 games whatever it is……….

Hull are a good side,we can’t just expect to muller every team we come up against.
Where did that come from after the last 7 or 8 yrs ?
Let’s keep building otherwise we,ll end up where we were the last few seasions again……..

Swansea eh !,does your head in.

There are tools to be used for certain jobs.

In his youth Fulton was actually a pretty decent attacking midfielder, but over time seems to have developed into a midfield battler. In a game like today, much like the Derby match last season, you need a battler.

He'd have offered us a physical presence, both in the air and on the ground, something Cullen simply doesn't. Might have made a difference in that last melee.

Its a shame that both he and stamenic were both injured as we probably would have won with fulton snd definitely would have won with stamenic.

I agree about Fulton, and we missed Stamenich but Cullen wasnt brought on to shore up midfield we changed shape when he came on to 4-4-2 from 4 -3-3
Also in that change Gailbraith dropped to right vack and Key moved in field.
Todays result lies in the hands of Sheehan he chose the matchday squad and made the changes....

I concur.

Bit of self-reflection required from Sheehan I think. After a slow start Yalcouye was actually getting into the game quite well when he was subbed. We're just a little bit "safety first" at the moment. Perhaps with one eye on the lack of time the squad has had together in fairness to him.

Given the amount of squad turnover we've had this year it will take time for them to completely gel and the recent International break won't have helped.

Just need to be a bit bolder with some decisions I think.

Yep, sheehan should have given yalcouye, inoussa and vip more time on the pitch to see the game out, they would probably be benched for the forest game anway, if they had played more minutes todsy they would get less minutes in the forest game

Hey ho, lessons learnt, I hope 🙏

So , that’s why some have reservations about Sheehan
It’s not a capital offence
It’s not bullying either to suggest it

We have a big squad which had a chance today to stuff a mediocre site

We gifted two points

That’s not good

It sends people home unhappy

We’re all unhappy right now

It ll change

Just back from the game.
Poor management today.
It was obvious that the half time team talk was getting that second goal and keep the ball.
Frustrating for the supporters and must be very frustrating for Ronald who was sticking to Sheehans poor tactics.
Very much Williams like tactics.
I thought Sheehan would have learnt by now.
Boos at the end of the game said it all.
Not good enough.
Why does Franco keep getting substituted ? It buggered the midfield up.
On call Rob or whatever it’s called now, Sheehan stated that he had decided before the game to take Vipotnic off after 60 minutes. Why on earth did he take a guy off who was performing well, looked fitter than ever, and looked like he could do more damage.
Innousa was taken off at virtually the same time, yet was arguably our most dangerous player.
None of it makes sense.
Ooh, and EOM is a very weak link.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Spot on ......does Sheehan know what he is doing?
Under Wiliams this thread would be anout 6 pages longer with the usual suspects slagging the manager off but Sheehan though having a few critical remarks is getting off lightly.

Is this a serious question?

I mean, the obvious difference is that at no point did Williams give the impression that he was more than a non-league chancer given a job way beyond his ability whilst Sheehan has actually done reasonably well overall.

What a very dramatic post.

I think what he did last season and the season before steadying a sinking ship says to me he knows what hes doing.

He mad a massive mistake with his substitutions today, it cost us 2 pts, it wasn't a hanging offence.

Sheehan has got in abundance what williams lacked, morals.

Now if he keeps making boo boos like today then he will deserve the pelters.

Be fair folks only turned on Williams after the West Brom crap.....which came around the crap New Yeads day loss at Portsmouth and the capitulation at Cardiff.

So many incliding Dr W are slagging off Cullen yet Sheehan plays him.

Its all about opinions....Ill be honest Ive not been convimced about Sheehan...as i wasnt with moat of our managers post Luadrup....

I hope he proves me wrong....but his decsion making foday raised more questions

Excuse me, but some of us had realised that Williams wasn't up to it well before the "West Brom Crap".

Speaking for myself, my doubts had started not long after he got here. I believe that I am on record questioning the wisdom of appointing the manager responsible for the third worst defensive record in League Two when we were getting regularly spanked early in his tenure.

I'm also happy to state that I've questioned Sheehan's decisions before, most notably with his playing of Cullen ahead of Vipotnik last season. It's not unknown for managers to have blind spots when it comes to certain players. Even good managers.

Cullen just isn't good enough. He's never been good enough as a striker, and barring a short spell isn't good enough in midfield either. Sheehan needs to realise that quite quickly.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

So my question asking if Sheehan knows what he is doing is valid....given your view re Cullen.

Then again Cullen is an international or maybe Bellamy diesnt know what he is doing either

Being a Wales International is no great shakes really is it? It's not as if there's a huge pool of players to choose from.

And questioning Sheehan's judgment over one player doesn't equate to questioning his judgement overall, which is a point so obvious I'm a little surprised that I'm having to make it.

Football without drama would empty grounds overnight

All sport is it should be

If not then it’s meaningless

Time was when football was a distraction from a hard grind of a life and its relentless tedoum

Too bloody right were dramatic
