In his post match interview JS stated that players who’d sat on the bench recently would be involved against Wednesday and Oxford.

One move I’d quite like to see is either Hayden or Field do a man marking job on Bannen and completely take him out of the game (bar free kicks around our box). In a 10 v 10 game they’d miss Bannen significantly more than we would Field. Smyth and Kolli could also do with a run out at some stage.

I’d go full strength same again and really push for 4 on the bounce. Make subs around the hour, then rotate a few in the more winnable home game midweek.

Yep, me too. Not sure why as I normally don't go for the 'Don't change a winning team' approach but in this instance, the team looks like it'll keep on winning.

I'm in favour of making those who aren't in the team realise that they'll have to work hard to get back in, and not waste their opportunity if and when they get it. In reality, the three game weeks will see some rotation out of necessity.

I watched the highlights from the Wednesday v Portsmouth match, and Bannon was excellent. Big test for our midfield, it will definitely be interesting to see how Stephan approaches this one.

I'd go man to man on him. Bannan seems to be our Kryptonite. Take him out of the game we've a much better chance of winning.

Poll: Which is the worst QPR team?

I’m not suggesting currently benched players all start the game apart from the man marker but at some stage we should bring as many on as is appropriate. I’d like to see Morgan at RB again as well.

Have we ever used Varane in that role before, I'm not sure?

I wouldn’t drop our Captain to shoehorn Morgan in out of position.

3 games in a week - there will be some changes between the games

You're right, Bannon is our Kryptonite. He plays a deep lying play maker role which seems to make him more difficult to get at but apart from that, I don't understand why.

Have Mbengue mark him and jobs a good 'un.

If we do that, I reckon both Mbengue and Bannan would get sent off!

Last season at Loftus Road we put Morgan on Bannan in a man-marking role for certainly the first half and to be fair it worked, that is until they scored and we had to go chasing the game. Bannan plays so far back, the man marker is basically a 10 but I'm all for having specific plans for the opposition. Agreed - if you stop him from playing they lose 75% of any threat.

I personally wouldn't change anything for next weekend, Burrells's pace on that big pitch should be a big threat, I think it's more likely we'll see a few changes for that Oxford game

I don't know which match you decide is more winnable with making changes.

Thankfully, that is the coaching staff's problem & not ours!

I’m not entirely convinced Dunne is fully fit, he looked laboured at times against Stoke plus Morgan has played right back more than his recent conversion to midfield. He wasn’t great against Coventry but who was? The other time he played there for us he was very good.

There will not be many, if any, changes against Wednesday. And all this talk about Dunne and Morgan - madness/shocking - wtf that comes from I do not know!!!!

I certainly do not see the keeper or the back 4 being changed, nor the the two strikers, Madsen, and is he going to rest Vale for the reward of getting the winning goal - I doubt it???. So he has only got two others, one is Saiko who was many posters MoM & Varane.

Unless players have minor knocks then I fail to see why the Manager would make changes and Varane may have a knock.

Also, all this posters talk about Bannan will be very brief indeed during the week during training/opposition briefs. All the talks will be focused on QPR and winning the match which imho we have a good chance if we play well, but not easy.

Maybe rest Mbengue. He gives away too many free kicks away around the box for Bannen to exploit. Also Smyth instead of Burrell for first 60 mins.

I don't think Mbengue needs any rest and it would just be delaying the inevitable as he is bound to pick up another yellow in the next 3 games to get a one match rest anyway.

I don't see why we would change anything for Sheff Wed, as all the players have had a week to recover.

It will be interesting to see how JS approaches these 3 games. If he starts the same 11 again for Sheff Weds, how many changes would he need to make for Oxford and then Bristol City? Also, I would guess he will use more subs than he did on Saturday, especially if he does want many of the starters for Sheff Weds to also play against Oxford.

On paper he does seem to have good options

[Adaptability klaxon]

Horses for courses though isn't it. I'm really excited by Vale, and said at the start of the match thread that I fancied him to get off the mark against Stoke. But just for the sake of argument, if Poku were fit, given he's quite a different player, JS might decide to bring him in for Vale against Wednesday if for whatever reason he decided his attributes were what's needed, and that's fine. We've got some depth and options to play with against different opponents, getting squad rotation right across a long season is key.

There is also the consideration that Saito, Madsen, Vale, Kone and Vale are building up the intuitive interplay side of their game and the more they play together, the better that will get.

The grass is always greener.

I think we need a number 10 to press him. Saito? Morgan?

I'd be very surprised if we didn't start with the same 11.

Just a complete guess, but he may rest Varane and Vale.
Bringing in Hayden and Demble.

Chair should be back in contention from the subs bench, I would say.
Possibly Poku too.

Who gets dropped from the bench to the DS will be interesting.
