These are the games we must win

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Confident for this one. Stamenic looked like he shook the cobwebs out of him in the last one so hope he is firing vs Millwall!

We have to stop the crosses coming into our box from the wings and deep ,Alex Neil is a wiley championship manager and will set them up to frustrate us and stop our wingers and midfield from having time and space and feeding Zan ,we will need to be on our game for this one and if we are we are more than capable of getting 3 points

There used to be TJ's owned by a Llansamlet boy but closed years ago, you're better off going to a smaller bar and asking as all the big un's will be watching premiersh1t

We never seem to bust a gut to stop the cross. If the balls not in the box, they ain't going to score.

Millwall have done it for the last 2 seasons to us defend deep and frustrate and break away late on and win it

Need to break them down early and fetch them out

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game
Poll: Happy to see Martin go

Burnley defended deep and countered fast, you really have to look at how we are ending up with our two relatively slow centre halves are the two defenders as we try and attack out from the back, it leaves us open to loosing the ball in central midfield as teams set up to counter us through the middle while pushing us out on the flanks inviting our fullbacks forward to leave big spaces on the wingers for their counter attacks.
Conversely in defen mode our fullbacks drop off opposition wingers allowing ball to feet as the pressure builds our team drops further back and wingers then drive into the box which is harder to defend. Get the fullbacks tighter on their wingers and let the centrehalves cover the space in behind them or our defensive midfielders or centrehalves can come across and the midfielders deal in the centre with the other centre half.
Against Millwall in the home game last year, Tymon pushed forward being urged forward by the home fans, Vigouroux poor clearance was intercepted but Darling didn't cover Tymon's position he was indecisive and got caught in no man's land. I think Burgress has more experience but is lacking the pace that Darling had opposition managers cha ge of tactics at the end of the game?

Darling had pace but when in a race with a forward would more often than not fall over hoping for a free kick. It didn't always work and cost us more than once.

Found it annoying when Darling tried to out muscle smaller stocky attackers with low centres of gravity off the high ball instead of just using his height advantage to get us going forward, having said that he was being coach by Martin to try and keep possession of the ball invariably getting caught out, yes he did improve gaining more experience but he did have his shambolic moments and under Sheehan was far better.

I remember questioning Darlings abilities on here before and calling bang average and someone basically saying he was our best player

Tbf he was a decent centre half, yes he went down too easily on a few occasions but he was good for us on the whole.

A post to refer to
It’s all about stopping crosses
It’s all about our poor full backs and how much space they give opposition
Basic stuff pointed out many times before
Yikes

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

It's true but that's typical of modern full backs, not something unusual these days.
Bl@@dy annoying though

Just for clarity we are the only team that has to defend crosses, they are a percentage play.

We arent the only team to concede from crosses, just saying.
